Crimson Ultrawings! A Chapter is born!

Don't worry about it Piddlecakes, I generally steer clear of anyone who sleeps with a copy of the 40k rulebook under their pillow :)

Anyhoooo, latest update

OK, this should be the final heavy armour to go into the Crimsons (I think, nay HOPE so!)

The second hand raider looked like it had been assembled blindfolded using a hacksaw and toothpaste but hey, it came cheap so I can't complain, stick a bit of crapola on board, slap a little paint on and it soon comes together!

Had a few spare bits knocking around and some of the Vets were complaining about sore feet so they opted to take a ride to the next battle

More pics usual place The Crimson Ultrawings

These boots dun 'alf rub dont they Geoff....

nice conversion on the landraiders, although i'm not sure about the landraiders assault ramp, the dozer baldes would hinder it's function no?

Explosive bolts Hendrik, although they are of little use as the guy in the cupola has no lower body or legs so he cannot reach the pedal to operate them..... :D

Haha! Good point! Imagine the extra destruction caused by that dozer blade blasting forward into the enemy!

I continue to marvel at, and envy your tanks, BulldogUK. I picked up a small tarp/crate kit from an eBay seller (Turretcast, IIRC), and have put a lone tarp roll on my WIP Razorback refurb project. I'm not brave enough to go whole-hog with the gear as you have, yet. Maybe on a Rhino or Vindicator, where I'll have more available "top space."

Preeeeety much finished now this project so got everything together for a few army shots. basically a couple of DN's to finish off, a couple of tac squads here and there, nothing major. Hard to believe but the entire Crimson Ultrawings force has been painted in just under 6 weeks!!!

I am taking a well earned rest over Xmas, give the fingers and eyes a break ;D

Come new year I think I will get stuck into the Titan weapons and maybe some more scratch building, just for a change of scenery again

For now here are the pics, I will update with the dreads once they are done but this is pretty much the end of the story!

PS will get some battle reports done in the new year

Oh, a big thank you to all of you for the kind comments and encouragement, we even had a few chuckles along the way. I always appreciate it, but please try not to encourage me too much, I only have limited shelf space LOL. Have a good Xmas peeps

Painted a few of the stragglers, got the GK Dread cheap from ebay, quite like it so may well add a small contingent of Knights to sit along side the Grey Knight titan!

Always liked the FW Dark Angels dreadnought and decided there was only one way to make it better....paint it BLUE! purists look away now!

Oh, Brother Barry finally got his coffin, check out the usual page Crimsons for more pics and a low down on the 5 ages of Barry! (right after the story)

Killing time until the Grey Knight stuff arrives and remembered I had this old Warjack lying around so decided to stick a few extras on (literally, no scratch-building masterclass here!)

A welcome addition to the Crimson ultrawings. The Warjack-o-nought can be used in a variety of roles ;D

I have to say this is one of the the coolest armies I've seen here on the B&C.

The muzzle flashes gives it a comic book feel while the basing ties it to the late 80's style GW used.

The comedic feel also contrasts the dark and slightly gritty paint style perfectly.

If you keep churning out models like these I'm afraid my love for them will sour into jealousy and hate. ;)

Always misplacing the tape measure? Slowing games down? Losing friends? Worry no more! The Crimson Ultrawings present the newly commissioned 'Tape-o-nought' for When that extra inch really can make a difference!

Oh, the Dreaded Terminator RDS (Rodent delivery system) Tungsten helmeted high explosive hamsters, when you absolutely and positively have to kill every last mofo in the room :)

"Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!"

"Butt kicking for goodness"

I think Minsc summed it up nicely.

Most awsome thing ever :D

TEC: Minsc was always my favourite from Baldurs Gate.

Favourite quite of mine has to be "Magic is impressive, but now Minsc leads! Swords for everyone!"

That must be a variant from one of the imperial armour books or something I don't recall seeing it before ;) Clever idea and it looks brilliant, I really enjoy the light heartedness you bring to your army, especially considering space marines aren't the most jovial chaps.
