Thanks all!

The Blackwing termie is great, nurglepuss.

And what i can see the Sallie looks good too. A very nice smooth green, and the flames on the tabard are splendid. Please post some pictures of him in different angles?

Hi nurglespuss, love your work in general, however I'm in 2 minds here, I absolutely love the first termie with extra armour, (forgive me but I love this enough to steal the idea) I'm not to sold on the sallie though, maybe a different angle may help, not sure about the helmet conversion and the shield and the pose is a little off. It may just be that the first termie is so good it overshadows the sallie.

Fair comment :>

I admit the sallie was a challenge for me, and both his pose and style are very different from my first terminator. I hope that once I have the squad done it will look disjointed (like a band of old heroes) rather than an actual squad, as they are not, in my fluff.

I'm off to grab a few more phots now (battery charged, yay!) hopefully that will help :>

I really like the first one of them. Allthough I could find a lot of pictures of terminators that were both posed/sculpted better, and also technically better painted, it just...works... really really well.

The weathering and battledamage is a little rough, and there are a lot of places where your blending could be improved, but the piece as a whole is really good - even if it technically is not up to the standards of the really heavy-hitters in the hobby.

I think you have a nice different look to your terminators so well done. Battledamage also looks good. Only thing I'd change is the Sallie's shield position as it blocks the head, which is one of the most important things on a model.

I agree about the sallies shield, tbh, when I first converted the model, I didn't intend in painting it much above tabletop (for me) but was enjoying myself. I'm not 100% sure the shield is now moveable (pinning, excelent glue) so I think its a learning curve for me! check pose first Mr Nurglespuss!

Thanks again!

Both minis are astounding good conversions and paintjobs, NP. I'm especially struck by the detail work on the Salamander's right shoulderpad (seen a little more clearly here). Your stuff's top notch!

I also love the idea of a "band of heroes" joining together, rather than a generic Terminator squad. Adds some real character and narrative life to the miniatures.

battle damage and painting modelling is great.

only niggle for me is the TH arm is really rigid, and i understand that its *fudgin* difficult to find one that isnt.

but if it had more movement or action to it that would make it like woah amazing.

Cheers aioannou :> oh yes If I had thought, I would have done so! I think I might after this squad (getting lots of practice with lots of different techniques there!).

Hi Demonhoth, thanks for the constructive comments on the conversions, Are the bases cluttered? I thought they were pretty simple (mainly mud) but hey ho, and as for the paint job, well thats the best I can do with the time I've got (Thesis, bleh) but thanks anyway.

I love the built in storm shield terminator. You executed the idea so well. Have you thought of any other conversions with built in equipment? Off the top of my head all i could think of was assault marines with jump packs build into their arms and legs(kinda like iron man). But i really like the idea of the armor customizing to the war-gear rather than just throwing a shield on a regular terminator. Excellent work. Can't wait to see more.
