What Do You Include on Rhino Transports?

Nothing. The thing that makes rhinos so great is the cheap point cost. Sure extra armor is nice, but i run 3-4 of them anyway and that costs enough without ea on them all too. Basically extra armor is worth the points it costs because it is good, but they are also fine without it because they are so cheap.

Havoc Launchers. For 15 points you turn the Rhino into a unit of its own, drawing fire and harassing your opponent long after it has delivered its payload. Every anti-tank shot that is aimed at a rhino and not my plague marines is a shot I rejoice at. Besides - in those games where you decide to play defensively and stay put letting your opponent come to you, the Rhinos serve as more than just a shield. They become artillery platforms.

Havoc Launchers almost invariably earn their points back. It's hard not to for just 15 points.

Totally agree, putting a Havoc Launcher on your Rhinos makes them become a priority for enemy anti-tank fire, and draws fire away from your more expensive units. And as was pointed out its almost impossible for you not to be able to get the 15 points back.

I use extra armour rarely when I have a icon in a transport I want to get up front reliably.

Depending on the points value of the game, I run the following in the order I would buy them with points availability: Extra Armor, Dozer Blade and Havoc Launcher. Just keep in mind, the points of those three upgrades would also net another rhino.
