WolfLordLars Posted September 19, 2008 Author Share Posted September 19, 2008 The way I understand it, if a building is designated like that with an AV, you can either stay inside and fire out of any place that is a firing port, or you can go on top. If troops go on top, the building is treated like an open topped vehicle. Re-reading, I would say you treat it like an open topped vehicle.. if they are on top, they measure from the base of the building, regardless of actual model placement. So, if its a long building, one turn they are shooting from one side, next turn from the other, with no penalty. JMarv Posted September 20, 2008 Share Posted September 20, 2008 That is how I read the rule as well Lars, they would still be considered passengers of the vehicle with as many shooting ports as necessary and range from any edge of the building. I'd recommend caution then in declaring a building with an AV value in 5th Ed. It can be nasty to try and dislodge the enemy who can fire at will without much risk of injury.
