travh20
Was hoping to get peoples thoughts on using a fully painted bloodthirster as a proxy for a Daemon pince. Personally after thinking about it I do not think it would be to bad. They are both armed with a single CCW, both are monsterous creatures. Does anyone have any objections to that? It would give me a lot of flexibilty im my list making, but I want to say legit and not be "one of those guys" who proxys everything. Captain Malachi
As long as you aren't using a greater deamon and make it clear what it is, I can't see anyone having a huge problem with it. travh20
No, it would be the only larger daemon on the table, then I could actually use those big ass wings that were so hard to put on for something too! Captain Malachi
Then go for it, might want to be careful if you play a daemon army though, don't want to confuse the two bloodthirsters. chillin
Using a BT as a DP is fine, I would use it as a khorne DP though. Bloodstorm
Everyone is different im afraid, personally i wouldnt have the slightest problem with it along with maybe.... 75% of casual gamers, just be prepared for the other 25% to maybe have a problem quoting WYSIWYG *edit* saying that if you claimed it was a Slaanesh DP, i might raise an eyebrow ;) :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146390-is-it-ok-to-use-bloodthirster-model-for-daemon-prince/#findComment-1697839 Share on other sites
travh20
BUt a bloodthirster does have all the same WYSIWYG stuff as a daemon prince, especially if you buy it wings. EDIT I see what you are saying. It will be Khorne DP only Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146390-is-it-ok-to-use-bloodthirster-model-for-daemon-prince/#findComment-1697849 Share on other sites

EDIT I see what you are saying. It will be Khorne DP only yes i see what your saying but ive played against 1 or 2 in my days that would recognise it as the bloodthirster model and would only recognise it on the table as that, even though it fits WYSIWYG of a DP, i imagine their view would only change if it were to be slightly converted in some way, so its not 100% the 'thirster out of the box. i actually would let you use it np, along with the vast majority, the only thing im saying is everyones views on the game are different and just be prepared to meet one of these individuals one day... Lazarus Vespers
I do the same thing only opposite. My Nurgle Daemon prince is often used as a greater daemon. To me it looks more like a marine that suddenly turned into a daemon. aioannou
use it as a DP mate it should be no problem. if you get anyone who has a problem do the Khornate thing and beat him to the floor with it shouting "blood for the blood god!" JamesI
Isn't the Bloodthirster larger than the deamon prince model? Not that I'd object. If you told me it was a DP that would be fine. travh20
It may be a little larger but they are both considered monsterous creatures. So how if I used him as a generic daemon prince and gave him doombolt? I could say he was breathing fire or something, or the doombolt was actualy his whip. L0NEW0LF
as long as it's ot a deamon army then there wouldnt be any problem using a bloodthirster as a winged DP. a std greater deamon no longer has wings so technically you cant use it for that now anyway Khorne DP is the best use for the old Bloodthirsters now (unless you run a deamon army now of course) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146390-is-it-ok-to-use-bloodthirster-model-for-daemon-prince/#findComment-1701542 Share on other sites
Captain Lucas Raziel
Sure, it would be fine, be maybe convert/paint different in case you go against a Daemon army, as it would save the confusion Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146390-is-it-ok-to-use-bloodthirster-model-for-daemon-prince/#findComment-1701543 Share on other sites
