GI Joker
I just got done putting the finishing touches on my wolf guard and thought I'd share. They are all converted at least a little. Nothing major, just a little GS for the assault cannoner's pelt and plastic bits from Mordhiem and the SW sprure elsewhere. I used the Forge World kit, and while a bit pricey, the models look great. and because he is technically a Wolf Guard, my Blood Claw sergeant C&C wealcome. Pulse
Nice work mate, i like the paler colour on the SW armour it suits really well. Good use of FW shoulder pads as well, again nicely done. I have to say i think the faces are really well done, and good use of ginger hair. Being ginger myself its nice to see SW getting ginger loving. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146635-wolf-gaurd/#findComment-1700946 Share on other sites
Godwyn
See if you can drill your storm bolter barrels, then they'd be flawless. They look great. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146635-wolf-gaurd/#findComment-1700998 Share on other sites

GI Joker
Thanks for all the kind words. I do need to drill out the barrels, I think my GW drill is at my parent's house stoneware, I just need to dig it up. I'm trying something a bit different from what is typical by using as little gold as possible and using chain mail instead. So far the only exception has been the cross guard on the sergeant's sword and some details on the Logan I painted's axe. Wolf89
Nice work there. :P I agree with drilling the bolter holes, makes em look really great. One thing is your one shoulder pad looks a little "chunky" from the GS work of the fur, next time narrow it more to a tip and thin it out a bit and It'll look more natural. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146635-wolf-gaurd/#findComment-1703422 Share on other sites

GI Joker
Looking good! I really need to add some new Termies to my Wolves! Thanks, I was going for that old-school look for them. This is my second attempt at a wolf army. The first one was several years ago when the codex first came out and I had some shadow grey left over in one of the old pop top bottles. I painted a few squads before I ran out and had to get an new bottle and it wasn't until then that I noticed how baby-blue the looked. Long story short, I sold them off and now this time around I'm using Codex Grey.
