Ironclad Dreadnought under construction

++UPDATE 10/03++

Now basecoated... Somewhat. Really, I have to admit that I'm really REALLY not good at painting anything even remotely vehicular, due to the large amount of surface area to cover. Still, it's SOMETHING.

Now, weathering and maybe battle damage to go!

++ Old Stuff ++

Similarly to the Sternguard (the first five personal plastic conversions of whom I just finished, actually posted here a few weeks ago), I'm excited at the prospect at the new Ironclad dreadnought. Aside from the potential havoc it could wreak in my enemies' lines, there's also the fact that, well, it looks more like something out of Full Metal Panic. ^^ Anyway, it's probably going to be several months before we see an ACTUAL model (though we have the CAD designs now), so like many of the brothers here I started on my own personalized version.

Introducing Honored Brother Hagane:

I admit to flubbing the right arm, since I really didn't know how to represent the Seismic Hammer arm (nor was I aware that the darned thing was supposed to go on the LEFT arm)... Yeah, guess how many poor bitz got sacrificed before I arrived at this design?

I'm opting for a chainfist on mine because it's easier to build XD. That and I like the idea of Strength 10 + 2D6 AP. Oh wait it get's 4 of those attacks if it charges. On rear armour. The phrase Overkill springs to mind. And it has a meltagun. I think the guy who desinged this beast has something against tanks. ;)

But that model is fantastic, loving it, might have to steal a few ideas from it. :D

I too would like to know what went into the construction of the right arm.

Snozz: Actually, he'd only get 3 of those attacks on the charge, since a DCCW isn't a second chainfist (and thus doesn't get +1 attack). Still solid though, since it'll mostly be used against vehicles with soft, soft underbelly/rear armour.

Brother Garrod: An arm from an old STANDARD-grade Nu-Gundam. Gunpla ain't cheap, y'know. Besides, given the way my friend's kid cousins tore his gunpla models apart, it was pretty easy to ask for the pieces...

And here I was gonna say that the hammer head looks like it came outa Voltron...

Where did you find that the Seismic Hammer is on the left arm? Every other Dreadnought has the left arm as the CC Weapon so why would the Ironclad be different.
