LRC and Rhino Disembarktion

Hey guys,

I've tried the search-fu but no luck to a definitive answer to this question.

1) What is the Maximum distance my LRC can move so that my Unit inside it can assault the same turn?

2) BA Rhino's have OCE. It thus becomes a Fast Vehicle. What is the maximum range it can travel and disembark its troops?

Thanks!

1) There is no maximum distance for Transport vehicles and disembarking.

2) Page 70. Fast Transport Vehicles section. It should answer your question B)

Added info: Thusly a vehicle on a road in creasing its cruising speed to 18" can in fact still allow its contents to disembark.

While these answers are true in these specific cases I can make it much easier and try to help clarify.

If the vehicle travels flat out then you can't disembark. Only fast vehicles can move flat out and flat out is normally more than 12".

LRCs are not fast vehicles so cannot move flat out. So they can move any distance and spew their contents.

If the BA rhino became a fast vehicle it could not let people off if it went over 12" as it moved flat out.

However, a non-fast vehicle travelling on a road can move up to 18" and does not count as moving flat out. So then the passengers could hop out and have some fun.

Aren't you suppose to not be able to assault after disembarking from a moving vehicule?

Erm, elaborate what you mean please.

You can assault out of LR and LRC after moving up to 12". You cannot assault out of a Rhino unless it did not move this turn and let you disembark. ;)

You can assault out of LR and LRC after moving up to 12".

This is not strictly true. You may disembark from a vehicle traveling at "combat" or "cruising" speed. Whilst ths is typically no more than 12", any circumstances that make a vehicle move faster, whilst still maintaining the speed rating (such as roads) will still allow them to disembark. As far as I can see, there are no specific limitations on the LR family of vehicles that prevents them from going on to assault if this happens.
