well im now doing space wolves lost great company. dude, the god emperor how old are you? im 13. painting 2 years. brag somewhere else. i did, dark flesh, tanned flesh, dwarf flesh, leviathan purple and then elf flesh. do every coat except purple wash lightly. ive swapped his meltagun for a bolt pistol and now have a bareheaded flamer. his face is even better. just gotta get tround to uploading him. meltagun was just too big and points costly for a single squad. also, there are a lot more codex bits just cos i like em better than spae wolf bits.

I'd agree with you, DeffWolf, I prefer the SW/DA/BT bits spread out quite a lot (maybe 2 or 3 sprues per 1500 points of models?) than in your face everywhere.

These are my suggestions for your models. I'm guessing the effect on the face is due more to thin paint than anything else. (If I'm wrong, I apologise in advance!). I'd go over all of the colours a second time, as they seem a bit thin on the models currently. If you're worried about onscuring detail, then thin the paints out with quite a liberal amount of water. I'd also buy some inks (Citadel Washes are actually the best I've found) and go over the skin with a brown. Finally, if you've got some grey (a normal grey like Astronomican or Codex), highlight the edges of the bolter to give it a bit more shape. Your painting seems pretty careful and neat, so this shouldn't be a problem for you. Good luck!
