DragonPup
This is actually my first Dreadnought. The base was made using thin sheets of flat cork. I still need to get my hands on some Blue-Tac to attach the arms, however. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3219/2893076645_12183e3f1b.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147297-venerable-dreadnought-skeggi/ Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
are you sure that's a venerable dread? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147297-venerable-dreadnought-skeggi/#findComment-1708761 Share on other sites
Kushan Blackrazor
Looks like he's using the old Bjorn the Fell Handed metal dread, good enough for Venerable! Patrick O)))
I love the metal dreads ^-^ I think it could just do with a wash or two on the bone and armour, or perhaps another layer of highlighting? In the picture, at least, it looks a little flat Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147297-venerable-dreadnought-skeggi/#findComment-1708843 Share on other sites
DragonPup
Yes, that is infact the old Bjorn the Fellhanded model. I felt the currennt Ven Dread model had way too much bling on it for the Wolves. I still need to do some highlights on it before it is done. It is hard to see in the picture, but the 'bare' metal was given a wash with chestnut ink to create a rusted look to make it look more ancient. The picture did not capture the pose as well as I woud have liked. The torso is twisted to his right slightly to give it a look of walking down the rocks. Also, this was my first time creating a base like that. I think it came out better than I thought it would have. Not sure what others think. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147297-venerable-dreadnought-skeggi/#findComment-1708902 Share on other sites
