D6Veteran
I started 40k with a 2500 point Tau army, then built a small (750 point) Raven Guard army, then I built a second Tau army, which I completed today, just in time for the Chicago GT (you can see them here). Next on deck, the army I always wanted to build but it seemed to cliche to start with them. Ultramarines. The goal is to field a troop heavy, completely tracked Ultramarines army: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3196/2896573726_732302f3c1_b.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147365-mechanized-ultramarines-project/ Share on other sites

D6Veteran
What's "PA only" mean? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147365-mechanized-ultramarines-project/#findComment-1709173 Share on other sites
D6Veteran
Oh, Power Armor. Yes I do. This post is a kick off for my Ultras army (see third photo). If the other two photos violate the rules then and admin is more than welcome to edit the post. Alys Dwr
They do violate the rules, and if you're quick you can edit and remove them yourself. So.. what is the makeup of your marines list? i see 3 razorsbacks but don't think of 15 marines as troop heavy. I'm guessing several rhinos with full tactical squads aswell? Pandora
It would save the admin the hassle of removing them if you did, yeah. But nice Tau anyway, flesh looks sweet and I like the contrast between the red and the green. Brother Tancred
Cool I've always wanted tonnes of tanks but they cost sooooo much :D looking forward to see more than whirlwinds for heavys :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147365-mechanized-ultramarines-project/#findComment-1709189 Share on other sites
D6Veteran
Well I originally had 3 WW, 6 RB, 1 Command Rhino and some bikes. But I stopped putting plastic together until I see the new codex. I believe that between the cost increase to Marines and the cost decrease to Razorbacks, a 6 man RB squad is only 1 point more. If that's the case then it will be 6 RBs. Brother Tancred
Far does and the RB idea is clever but I'm more inclined to gun lines :P what armour do you plan to get in the future regardless of the codex like I plan to get a drop pod and predator destructor soon as I have the spare cash :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147365-mechanized-ultramarines-project/#findComment-1709209 Share on other sites

D6Veteran
is that......a damocles i see on the far right!?!? Yes -_- I'm going to use it as the Command Squad's "Rhino" and then have the option to use the Damocles rules in other lists. Shiodome
can you give a close up of the rhino with antena thing? (guess this is the damocles being talked of). has got me thinking of making a command rhino myself, would be good to see a closeup for inspiration.
