Bobcat
I really like the marines my dad was painting a lot so I asked if I could try. He gave me a few guys and told me I should make up my own team. I looked in all of the books like art of warhammer and I liked the gold ones like the brazen monitors so I made up the brazen bobcats. My dad said I need a test first so. Here are all my painted ones took out my group picture because of paint contest. sorry here is sword guy chaplain leader
nurglespuss
Looking good :> I like the paint scheme and the name. I would say you could really improve them by getting the bases finished :> and putting a banner on the 'leader'.

Ompfris
I love it - 'Sword Guy' the gold and white work really well. I think I got about 8 - 10 years before my little one wants to battle!
Honda
Well as a Dad who has a couple of sons who like to play 40K (1 Ork, 1 Space Wolf), you don't have to wait until they are 8+ years old before you start playing. We just started simple (Move, Shoot, Save), learned concepts like rolling dice to get a result ("Thomas, roll higher than a 5 and he's safe"), measuring distances with a ruler ("he can move six of these") and mostly having fun. Â How they accept what you are doing depends on how much fun you are having. Later on as they learn to grasp more complex topics, you can focus on all the rules. Â I started painting some figs for them when they were 4-5 yrs old, and surprisingly, they are still some of their favorite figures. Â Keep up the good work Bobcat, you've got a good thing going. Warping...er, I mean shaping young minds. Good looking minis. Metal marines can be hard to pull off.
Apocalyp$e
You paint REALLY well for such a young beginner... I am really impressed. This gives me some hope for my son who's 8 right now. In a couple years I might just have a playmate, & I won't even have to leave the house to get a game goin'.
Bobcat
I would like to finish those bases but i got busy with the painting contest. For the guys themselves i just slathered them in Brazen Brass (aka Dwarf Bronze),then i clean up,do some flesh wash on the lines, and then do the details. Thanks for the comments guys! :thanks:
