Lions of Terra

Hello Fellow Astartes,

 

Take a look at my Lions of Terra WIP.

 

These guys are pretty much done except for some icons. These will be either part of my Veteran squad (Vanguard) or command squad depending on how the new Space marine codex looks. The lion capes came from the Elf Lions of Chrace Chariot set from Warhammer. I used green stuff as filler and to create the mane feel around the necks and shoulders. Take a look.

The painting skills are getting better. I took suggestions before to swap out red weapons for black and I liked the results. I also started doing the power weapons in a bluish gray and I really like how it stands out from the rest of the model. Comments suggestions please. Let me know what you think.

They look great. The fur is very nicely done.

My only suggestion would be to add some highlights and shadows to the face of the helmetless Marine. Right now, his skintone matches the armor very closely, making his flesh look like metal.
