Cpt Ultio
I'm just wondering if the Deathwatch Kill-Team are still valid for the 5th ed of the rules? Cus I've started work on a kill-team squad. Imperator Mos
Not sure on that since I haven't read every new FAQ. Best thing might be to call GW, or write a letter. I wouldn't hesitate to pull out my Chapter approved and make some one prove me wrong... Legacy40k
The general consensus is yes. Their rules have not been superseded by new rules. Personally.. I plan on using a Deathwatch HQ from Chapter approved and paint 2 squads of Sternguard in Deathwatch colours to go with my army. If you just want one squad/aren't concerned about having the HQ, then I suggest that you just paint Sternguard as Deathwatch, they are pretty much made for the role. Cpt Ultio
I've got spare bitz from a command squad, so I've built 2 out of 5 men for a DeathWatch Kill-Team Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147746-deathwatch-kill-team/#findComment-1714711 Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
Something which has been bothering me about the Deathwatch PDF...all the references for the squad Captain/Librarian are now out-dated and refer to an 'Space Marine armoury' that no longer exists. To solve this problem, I suggest to simply substitute the weapons options and wargear from the new HQ options for Marines. For the special ammo, I would recommend using the new Sternguard rules as well, to prevent confusion. Most of the rounds are the same anyway, and no one uses Metalstorm.
