Legion of the Damned

I've been meaning to make a tutorial about LotD for a while, and when I heard that they were going to be in the new codex I decided to do it before someone beat me to the punch. You can view the results in the tutorial forum:

Part 1 - Converting

Part 2 - Painting

Anyway, here's the finished squad. I tried to rush through them, but it still took an average of 3 hours per model.

sexiest LOTD i have ever seen :)

I'm inclined to agree.. they are quite tastey. Top notch converting. I'm quite happy to see the Spooks { LoTD } getting some Mclovin again. I'm just curious about being able to play them as a full army again? I know they're an elite choice in the new 'Dex so you can field up to 3 squads. Seeing as how I haven't thumbed through the new codex, I'm left wondering about the 4th edition trait system, or even the cursed founding rules for that matter.

Does anyone know? Is a full 1500-2000 pt LoTD army still a viable choice for 5th? If they are my templars might go on hold [ again /sigh ]

Not feasible. As you point out, max 3 squads under normal force org. All arriving deep strike. (with re-rolled scatter).

So only option is to paint up 1500 points in LotD scheme and make clear which are the elite choices... bit lame, but only option as I see it.

... Or Apoc.
