Trajan
Heh, 8 years and still wip? I know that sallies used to be slow, but.... na just kidding :D Some excellent conversions and touches you have. I like the 2nd Co captain´s pose alot, and your He´Stan model as well. Those models that are painted have a nice rich green, and good detailing. Oh, firemagnet, nice one there :D -Trajan Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147893-bobs-salamander-army/#findComment-1715803 Share on other sites
Ompfris
Nice looking army Bob! Love the flames on Arik Maybe you should think of getting a new Rhino or give that one extra armour - Destroyed ion 55 games! Get that Captain finished! Commissar Molotov
I'm very impressed by your He'stan and your Captain. They're both very nice models. The He'stan's actually rather close to the picture in the Codex, which I really like. Wolf89
That's an amazing Vulkan He'stan, it really is. The best conversion I've seen yet and I wish you posted this sooner so I had something to base mine off of. It's really what I like the most and I can't wait to see him painted up. The rest of the army is coming along nicely as well, the vehicles are my favorite. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147893-bobs-salamander-army/#findComment-1715876 Share on other sites

Vassakov
Really nice army, are you going to have a Combi-Flamer/Heavy Flamer Sternguard squad? Vulkan He'stan - whatever GW make will not equal that. Seriously, you should be very proud of that. Cynder Ash
just a idea if you will have bikers in your army you could use cold ones from Dark elves ;) like it very much :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147893-bobs-salamander-army/#findComment-1716371 Share on other sites
Salamander Bob
Hello again Brothers (and sure, Chaos Scum) ;) Thanks for the feedback! @ all: lol & thanks :D @ Trajan: Salamander are sturdy... not slow... although... @ Ompfris: Firemagnet have extra Armour (reinforced extra armour from Forge World). @ Nurglespuss: Yep, but the Thunderhammer in the tactical Squads are Powerfists. Mor'Tecai in Squad II have a Storm Shield... i think to wander him in the Command Squad from Captain. @ Commissar Molotov: Yes, i wanted He'stan so close as possible how in the codex. But with little conversion. @ Vassakov: No, a Vernguard Unit without jump packs for He'Stan. A Sternguard Unit is comming after the Reedemer, Command Squad, Droppod etc etc. :) @ Cynder Ash: I dont like the thought from Marine's on cold ones with Bolter. I would reather Bikes to conversion. And now new pic's: Yes, i broke the banner off the captain... But now its better to paint him. ;) Cheers, Bob. Dyp100
Great army. In fact, one of the best Salamanders army I've seen, making me jealous. xD Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147893-bobs-salamander-army/#findComment-1722067 Share on other sites
Vash113
How did the FIMO work for ya? My dad recently suggested I try out some other modeling stuff so I've now got some FIMO and SCULPY and some other stuff sitting in a drawer and haven't figured out what to do with it yet but it would be cool to be able to mould better Ultramarines symbols for aplying to my marines and what not, and since I have it I suppose I should give the FIMO a try. Anyway a fantastic army man, your use of bits is spectacular and makes the army look incredibly unique and fluffy. Nicely done indeed! Vash113
where'd you get those legs on he'stan from? Im lovin them It looks like the model is based off of the Master of the Armory from the Masters of the Chapter set. Zeller
Those are some very impressive Salamanders you have there good sir! I really love that idea of purity seals for the Rhino. Consider it stolen on a company wide scale. That mold idea with the cloaks is ace as well. Your green is solid. Any hints to achieving the green? Brother Styphus
And i used FIMO to copy signs and cloaks (i hope this is legal ) Um no.. not really. Salamander Bob
Great army.In fact, one of the best Salamanders army I've seen, making me jealous. xD Thx, but i don't think so. After then i make the pictures, i notice, that the core of the Army - the tactical marine's - is paintet/conversion not really. I must change this as soon as possible... It's really easy. You press the sign/claok/etc simply in the Fimo, and draw off it carefully again. Then you must the Fimo baking. After the Fimo is cool down, you can make copy of the sign with green Stuff. where'd you get those legs on he'stan from? Im lovin them It looks like the model is based off of the Master of the Armory from the Masters of the Chapter set. Nearly - its the Master of the Arsenal. Those are some very impressive Salamanders you have there good sir! I really love that idea of purity seals for the Rhino. Consider it stolen on a company wide scale. That mold idea with the cloaks is ace as well. Your green is solid. Any hints to achieving the green? Snot Green, Snot Green and Snot Green... I used Dark Angel Green as basecoat, but with the Foundation Paints, i testing first a basecoat with orkhide shade. Then a coat with 50/50 orkhide shade and snot green. After this, 2 coat's Snot Green and highlightning with Scorpion Green. And i used FIMO to copy signs and cloaks (i hope this is legal ^_^) Um no.. not really. Oh well, just don't sell any and you'll be ok. Pimpin' Sallies BTW. Keep it coming. Oh... Ok. ought i have delete this from the post, or can this stay in? Thank you to everybody for the nice words, thereby I feel motivated to make more. :D - Bob (and I try sometimes improves pic's to make) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/147893-bobs-salamander-army/#findComment-1723834 Share on other sites
