Rindaris
Working title... not gonna use it, but its in place until I can come up with something better. As I've decided to go full-out Ordo Xenos (Deathwatch), and it'll likely be a slow process, I asked for some other DiYers who would like to have their Chapters represented in my force. I don't have alot done yet, but I am making progress. This thread will be following my WiP stages. DiY Seeking thread: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=146931 Keep in mind I took these pictures in a rush before going to church this morning. And I'm still waiting on bases... and since I'm getting them from Back to Baseix... could be a week or two. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0602.jpg Blood Brotherhood shoulders. Supposed to be two blood drops. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0604.jpg 'Pedro Cantor'. Actually Master Severus, but 'counts as'. I've removed both shoulders. The right I've already replaced with a Deathwatch green stuff molded shoulder. Just finished the other mold last night so havn't done the other yet. The 'Dorn's Arrow' Stormbolter I made using a Grey Knight stormbolter with a regular bolter ammo clip on the side. I thought about using an assault cannon ammo box, but it was just to big. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0607.jpg Land Raider Helios. Still seeking out optic sensors for the lascannon sponsons, and need to get forgeworld doors when funds permit. And need to figure out how to construct a sensor array for the central hull spot that is currently empty. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0608.jpg WiP Sternguard. Really.... just lacking bases, unfortunately the pictures don't really give much decent detail. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0609.jpg Beginnings of my first Ordo Xenos tactical squad. Sergeant will be from Aesir Knights. Two members of the Emperor's Word chapter and one from the Blood Brotherhood. Heavy Bolter will be from a heavily Ad Mech influenced chapter, but havn't decided which yet. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/jeskasl/SANY0610.jpg And this is just to show that the boltgun Gamer's Edition case can indeed be used as a limited troop transport, with a little work. I used Sabol trays and trimmed them to fit. One 1" and one 1.5" tray. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148002-the-emperors-ka-tet/ Share on other sites

Ompfris
Hey - I like your assault cannon marine... I used the handle from the heavy bolter for my marine - your vertical handle looks a lot better see you used the heavy bolter rounds (guessing its connected to the ammo pack mounted on his back pack) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148002-the-emperors-ka-tet/#findComment-1717218 Share on other sites
Rindaris
@Duskraider: Thanks  Like I said I'm not really happy with the current name, but Ka-tet is definitely gonna be in it somehow. I think it fits an Ordo Xenos force. @Ompfris: The heavy bolter with assault cannon bit took a bit of work. Yes, the ammo belt is connected to the backpack. I'm really looking forward to getting some nice bases for my new force and being able to photograph them properly. The vertical grip I used was from the Chaos Heavy Bolter... well.. the entire thing was a Chaos bit except for the ammo belt and backpack. Since Deathwatch have their own Hellfire Heavy Bolters (sadly no rules for them anymore, but fluff...) I figured my heavy bolter should look special. warriorofplasma
Very nice, and is the Blood Brotherhood marine a beakie? If so, I love this project even more, I love beakies.... :D Can't wait to see the rest of them, keep it up Rindaris Warriorofplasma Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148002-the-emperors-ka-tet/#findComment-1718939 Share on other sites
Rindaris
It is indeed a Beakie :P Probably will be quite a few of those amongst my tacticals. The greenstuffed Blood Brotherhood shoulders turned out pretty good, even if rather simple, in my opinion. That particular one is just about done, except for the base. warriorofplasma
Very nice, I do love me some beakies....... both of my commanders are beakies, as are a vast majority of my special weapon troopers.... :D Anyway, i still can't wait to see pictures of the finished project, and please, for all of us that volunteered our chapters, post pics of the individual troopers when they're finished!! P.S. That shoulder pad looks great, I never thought of GSing it, I've always just painted....
