Sigvald as Wolf Lord?

Penguin of Death

Recommended Posts

Always on the look out for conversion opportunities I saw this guy on the Advance order section of the GW site and think it has some conversion possibilities

Long Hair, Ornate Armour, round shield and you have the beginnings of a young Wolf lord. Add optional beard to the long hair to complete the wolf look. Add a backpack to the armour to make it ancient power armour. Add a wolf icon to the shield. Add fur trim to the cloak

Opinions?

From the looks of the picture, Sig's no-where-near bulky enough to be a Marine and the armor's too fancy. He looks more like an Inquisitor.

Now for some anger:

You want a bloody Slaanesh model to represent one of the proud Sons of Russ! Heretic, traitor, malcontent! Throw him to the Wulfen and destroy all history of this fool!

Sorry, had to exercise the inner Space Wolf in me there. ^_^

A beard would look terribly silly on this guy, he's meant to be very handsome, and they did a great job on this sculpt.

If it wasn't for the Slaanesh symbol on his shield it'd be a great conversion model for me. I'm too lazy to take the painstaking work of shaving that symbol off though to make it look smooth again.

He's also quite small (without a proper scale photo just going off the 25mm base) so I don't think of him as a proper wolf lord in training even.

He's got great potential for sisters of battle I think.

This guy might have prospects as a 13th Co / Weremarked Marine. Wulfrik Remove the totems and maybe the shield, add a bit of GS and give him a less... pallid paint job and he'd make an interesting pre heresy Wolf Lord, afflicted by the gene curse.

Darn you Vassakov... it was my secret project idea... I already have him advanced

I figured he'd be perfect for my 13th company SW conversions. I was planning on keeping the totem though, at least one and put a nid skull on it.

Be a great Blood Angel though ;) But yeah, never gonna be a wolf.

Fantastic, nice to know our reputation for beeing the pretty boys remains in some areas of B&C! lord knows its probably gonna get dropped when/if we ever get a redo.

I was actually gonna use elements of this model for a Corbulo conversion! will have to think long and hard about whether he could ever be seen near a space wolf now tho!

Now this guy is just screaming to be made into a wolfy model. I'm thinking either pre-heresy or just something along the lines of a WGPL.

And I've always, always, ALWAYS wanted to wolf the crap outta Shrike. It's such a damn cool model and if I could find the time to file down and GS up all the damn ravenguard iconagraphy he would make one dynamic little WGBL.

They work for me... first one is an inquisitor with power weapon, the other is captain shrike.

As for the slaaneshi model in question... if you added sideburns, fur trim, and changed that godawful blade around I could see him as an IC with artificer armor and powerweapon/stormshield... but I wouldnt want to do it. Id rather convert Inquisitor Corteaz.... now theres a wolf lord model that Id like to have.

Darn henchmen and all that metal.... 45 dollars is just to much.

Your links are not working for me ^^.

Am i the only one, because this is rather interesting and i would like to look into it.

Cheers,

Azadul

enjoy :D

I have a few spare shrike models from a going out of business sale... I'm still trying to think how to execute his re-model... Shaving off his head, then probably grinding down his chest plate... he'll make for one tough WGPL ^_^

I have one ready to go in my bits box, though I managed to get him by himself on eBay

I assume he ment Wulfric the sea farer.

He would make an ok Preheresy SW. I did alot of them with chaos warriors But seeing as this guy is metal it would be a lot of hard work. you would have to bulk him out and he has way to many skulls

here the picture of the new GW mini and some i did a few years ago
