Warprat
Storms are fast, open-topped skimmers. If a vehicle Deep Stikes, it counts as moving at cruising speed. Vehicles moving at cruising speed can unload troops. Open topped vehicles can unload in any direction, and passengers may assault in the same turn. So, unless I am wrong, Shotgun Scouts could Deepstrike on thier Storm transport, fire thier shotguns in the firing phase (along with the Storm,) and then assault in the assault phase. The enemy recieving a -2 modifier to thier leadership roll, if they lose assault. If so, that compares well to more powerful units like the Vanguard, using Heroic Intervention... SeattleDV8
Except you are not allowed to assault after DS. (unless you have a special rule from the codex) Drops pods are opened topped too.
