The second figure looks a lot better than the first in my opinion - the style is very loose and Blanchitsu in looks. A little tidying up would make the figure stand out even more. As for the first perhaps some fine highlights in grey on the black armour and a wash on the metallic areas would help tie things together?

The waist of Ryoto looks just.... bad. I think you really need to remove the upper body and cut off the top of the waist part of the legs so that it sits smoothly and flushly. As of now it looks like you slapped a torso ontop of a set of Terminator legs and left it like that but the anatomy just looks way off.

When you green stuff I think it would be worth taking a file or knife to it afterwards to smooth it over a little bit. The other thing that helps is applying a thin glaze of super glue over it after it's dry, strengthening it and smoothing it over. Don't do that on this model though the glue would pool and the paint would mess it up a bit. :P For this reason I like to do models in pieces so I can file all the hard to reach areas and glue it all together at the end. I like the twin powerswords idea and the new tabbard looks much better. I need to get some models done myself I promised more photos of them over two months ago. I might try the twin swords idea if I can find some spare. :P

Its not ugly mate.

I'm really impressed with how much extra effort and work you've put into this (and how you have been taking the constructive criticism/tips/help on board).

I would say the belt idea is a good one, but I would be tempted to pop to a jewelers, or a girly shop or even craft shop, and grap some jewelers chain (fine chain). I would wrap this a couplu of times round his belt area, and scure with either just a little super glue, or a small blob of green stuff and super glue (superglue down, greenstuff top super glue on chain, press in, watch fingers).

Then give it a light coat of black/silver and wash, maybe add a skull or similar to the belt as a trophy/buckle.

Keep up the good work, this mini has progressed a looooong way from when you first posted it up.

I do like them.

I'm not going to give you the "thin your paints down" thing. I think they appear too glossy for my taste, and that may just be the light. But ask anyone at my local shop, I do enjoy a good deal of gore on my models and when it's done incorrectly, it can bring a model down. So maybe the base is bringing it from greatness.

Also you reds seem...off. I can't put my finger on it, but they seem... wrong for a power sword.

Hey I got it.

Black sword with red lighting. That'll make look fancy.
