Brother Lotide
WOO!!! I haven't posted in a long time now, but I got bored one day and decided to take up the reins of my old DA successor chapter, the Angels Ferrus. I finally managed to get some non-blurry pics of my marines, and although seeing them that close up points out ALOT of flaws, you guys can sue me since these were among my first painted figures. Oh, and ignore the bases. They will become either winter or urban bases later. For now, Grand Chaplain Allos: http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n178/wardagger/ChaplainAllospics001.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n178/wardagger/ChaplainAllospics002.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n178/wardagger/ChaplainAllospics003.jpg Comments and Crit. appreciated. I'm sure there'll be alot of it. ;)
AlexCrute
Excellent use of bits! Those wings breath a lot of life into this mini. For your painting, an all-metallic paint scheme can be very forgiving especially if you use inks. The silver metal looks fine, but the gold/brass is crying out for som brown ink - I would actually blackline the chest eagle and the crozius with undiluted brown ink and a fine detail brush - it's easier than it sounds. You could even blackline the bone colour with the brown ink - once you start you won't stop! I'd be tempted to hit the casing of the bolt pistol with black, to differentiate it, but that's just me. Very promising.
Brother Lotide
Thanks for the advice. I'll go look for some of the inks this weekend. I'll see how things go.
