Icewolf
I plan to have a list with OBEL scouts but how would you suggest modeling them just wolfying up normal scouts or scratch building them Cheers Icewolf Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148412-wolf-scouts/ Share on other sites
Vash113
Easiest way I've seen is to scoutify some standard Marines. Leave the packs off, few shoulder pads, use Scout Arms, and turn the upper leg armor into pants with a little green stuff. Bare heads with hair, beards and wolf pelts acrossthe back and you've got some nice wolf scouts. When I can refresh my wolfy bits its what I'll be doing to make me scouts. Wolf89
Remember Icewolf to use the search function, I think this topic is brought up 3-4 times a month. :( The most effective I've seen is just standard PA marines without the shoulder pads, and their built in pads "fanned out". Using some GS here and there to add some fur and beards is a MUST. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148412-wolf-scouts/#findComment-1722392 Share on other sites
WolfLordLars
I used SM Scouts with Wolf Heads and other bitz. I have no skill with Green Stuff, so no wolf pelts. Better option is to just try and find some of the old style metal wolf scouts. I might have some spare.... Vash113
OH GS Wolf Pelts are easy. First take some GS and get some water on your fingers so it doesn't stick. Pull and knead the GS out into the rough shape of the pelt you want, stick it to the model and walk away for several hours. After its hardened take a second bit of GS and spread it over the hardened GS. Then take a knife, dip that in water too and cut at the fresh GS in small downward strokes repeatedly re-wetting the blade so it doesn't stick occasionally. This achieves a very simple but effective hairy pelt look. Then if you don't want to sculpt claws or something take say tiny crux bits from Termies or what not and use those as fasteners. deedark
http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...5&start=175 Valerian has a nice example of just adding heads to stand scouts - I have done pretty much the same - for my melta scout I shorted the weapon so it fit the scout arms reach - ie chopped out the middle section D.
