750 Modular Wolf Lists

I would require the person to allow me to measure the distance to each model of the unit I was firing at. Each one. And they had better be clearly marked. Because it just doesnt make any sense... and as I recall you have to go through to inches to be considered in cover... Id want to see that distance.

If they want to put gretchin in front by the pound.... or a large mob in front of their burnas.... more power to them... but telling me I cant hit boys cause of the boys... is like saying you cant get firewood because a dead trees in the way.

I am surprised that my tactic's plan did not get challenged. Wondering if anyone has seen this used or used it themselves with sucess or do they think it would get laughed right off the table?

Me I am afraid to use its pure cheese wiziness. can you imagine if horde armies tried it.

I wouldn't laugh it off the table I'd pack up and leave. I've seen it argued in many ways and by many people for many reasons and honestly I could care less about the RAW aspects, its not just cheese its downright unsportsmanlike to abuse such a loophole and not something I think the Wolves of Fenris need lower themselves to do. I also would downright refuse to play anyone who did it. Rules loophole or no its a downright disgusting thing for a player to try and pull.

By RAW yes the "trick" is legal but like I said its such an extreme abuse of the rules for such an outrageous advantage I personally refuse to have anything to do with it. Maybe that sounds childish but I find anyone who has to resort to such unsportsmanlike conduct to win is childish in the extreme. I've walked out of two tournaments/events so far where such conduct was allowed along with everyone who came with me. The first rule of the game is to have fun and I think such conduct undermines the gaming experience to an unacceptable degree.

I missed something... what tactic?

I missed something... what tactic?

Something about Vrox's list he posted where it makes use of the "moving cover wall" that the orks are notorious for now.

/Shrug. Let them group up in nice cover giving units. I'll drop my flamer dreads on them and ask them to go ahead and make that cover save...or that armor save....oh wait...

There are always ways to counter cheese.

Admittedly a house rule, but my clubs way around this is a modified take on the IC rules, namely haveing to stay x inchs away from a squad unless your joining it. Generally we try to keep units at least 1 inch apart not least to make it clear which unit is which  Theres 2 3000 point plus nid armies at my club and nether of them have tried it and nether agree with it, not least as its then hard from them to tell which unit is which :P.

Beyond that anyone trying it gets an auto-loss and will be kicked out if they try it again. But as I said thats a house rule.

really now? I must have missed it in reading the rulebook. Has it come to be that only the Space Wolves are honorable fighters in the galaxy? Or is it just me, since I'll never put a unit within 1" of another except in CC. Call me old-fashioned I guess.

- I had never seen anyone use it, I was just cruising through the book and it came to me that it was possible. Like I said I would never use it, but when the topic is bring on the cheese....

I think I would call foul if I saw anyone use it, if they insisted Iwould pack up my army and walk away to a different table.

Heck I have a hard enough time with horde armies and those who attempt the "how do I get an extra inch" on every move. When I see them taking an extra inch, I am one of those guys that will watch them measure and" help" by putting my finger on the spot where the 6" mark was measure and not move my finger until that unit is done moving.

We really gotta get this thread back on track and have people posting more 750 pt modular lists. C'mon guys, what's the cheesiest/best/most solid lists that you can come up with for 750 pts. Doesnt even have to follow FOC, but you might wanna include an IC to make it a legit 750 pt module. I know we can do better than like 7 or 8 lists, so lets see what you've got!

4xWolf Scouts- 2xPowerweapon, 2xShotgun.- 76pts.

LandRaider- 250 Pts.

10x Greyhunters- 2x Powerweapon- 190 pts.

Wolf Priest- Bike, Frag Grenades- 131 Pts

3x Bloodclaw Bikers- Powersword- 98pts

750pts

This is designed to help support a Drop Pod base, like WLL's Drop pod of three Assault Cannons, etc. It ads a scoring unit in a transport that can support in assault, the transport wich can potentially destroy two vehicles a turn, Wolf Scouts who can OBEL and jump in to support an assault, or Infiltrate for a possible first turn charge- second turn if not, and of course 4 Turboboosting Shocktroops.

A benefit of this formation is that it takes up one of each slot... wich means it should be able to fit into most armies.
