Dark Disciple
So, i finished modelling Morty, and now have a nic n unique HQ for the guys. The painting is more or less finished as it is, sum touchups perhaps, but i will do that when i care for the basing Tell me what u think: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0040.jpg And by the way - any wishes on how to go on? Ok thats insanely good! And Russ is looking like he'll be every bit as good when he's done. The only thing that worries me is that in the last pic of his face I swear he looks slightly Mel Gibson-ish. . . .I think I need help! phish
first off our guys all look really good i especially like the thousand sons, they look strait out of the horus heresy art books and your NMM looks great. is there any chance of getting a picture of your primarchs standing next to your regular marines? capt.nuss
On we go. After a week of Dow2 Beta i started painting again today. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0049.jpg As u see, the face, damage and weapons are not done yet, as well as the feet. I was long time experimenting around with the right colours for him, but i like how it turned out. Tell me what ya think. Any more wishes how to go on!? hendrik
it's a very nice russ you made i would sugest the rampant wolf as i believe this was russ personal heraldry + runes! russ needs runes and wolfy stuff like a necklace with wolf teeth etc maybe even a wolf pelt although this might be a little late to tell you this and a little detail, he needs eyebrows;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1870452 Share on other sites

As i wrote, he is not quite done yet. Some touchups, runes to the sword, Feet as soon as i base him, and the face as well. So what's next? Not too sure here. Perhaps a new squad?! I also had an idea for some more Primachs, there are several more i like. Fulgrim, Perturabo, Sanguinius.... here i have problems with using them, if not in apo games (which i never play). I don't know if its that good to have a primarch squad in a 1500P game... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1872156 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
On we go. As promised, i changed the head of Alpharius, to make him bold, and more looking like a noble than a bruiser. This is the next best thing to copperskinned, i could imagine. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0074.jpg Next one is Perturabo: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0070.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0073-2.jpg Termi armour, hammer with a demons face, a fist with twin bolters and head bionics. There is not too much pictures of him around, as well as models that reflect him too well. He has the same size as the other primarchs, although he looks abit smaller here somehow. The paintjob is the first stage as you see, i'm looking for something like steel and stripes; not the same grey as russ has, for sure. Pale skin probably; we'll see. So, what ya'all think of those two? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1889794 Share on other sites

Capt. Tates
I've just looked and read all of these posts and i think this is A* work, its amazing, how long does it take you to sculpt and convert a Primarch? Just roughly. Another question, wouldn't you like to have all the Primarchs? I know your doing these models to play with but i'd sure like to see all the Primarchs lined up in a nic pic. Anyway good work! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1898288 Share on other sites
Captain Kael
Excellent work brother. I like the flamers on the DG. My favorites are the thousand sons and alpharius. That new head looks much better. Once you are done with perturabo, it would be cool to see either a sanguinus or angron. Both would make dynamic poses with tons of awesomeness. Continue the good work. Captain Kael ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1898372 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
I'll kick perturabo, and try him once again. This model here will be repainted, perhaps as a termi Squad leader, but not as primarch. Nice one, but not up to the standard i'm aiming for for my Bosses. how long does it take you to sculpt and convert a Primarch? Just roughly As soon as i have the idea and some nice pics, about 2 days. Another question, wouldn't you like to have all the Primarchs? Well yeah, i was thinking about that. But i'm not sure. I dont even know how to use these. But i have plans on some more already; just stay tuned. Next one coming will be a squad. Just a spontaneaous idea, but it sparked the building fever, and thats exactly what i need. :D And hopefully a step further to the fully playable army. Wanna start kicking some ass with them soon. Pulse
Dear me, Mortarion and Russ look absolutely brilliant!! What in gods name happened to Perturabo? He is awful compared to the others. He looks like a dodgy robot out of a 1930s film. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1898475 Share on other sites

NemFX
Don't get me wrong, it's a neat model, but it doesn't say "primarch" to me. Looks more like a newer version of an RT-era marine.. I imagine him looking more like a titan mech, but with a person inside. Having the singular best of equipment. Anyways, I vote for Kurze also. Not sure why you'd consider him a DP though. I also vote that he'd wear lightning claws. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148627-the-legions/page/5/#findComment-1898726 Share on other sites
capt.nuss
Perturabo is killed & will come new. So far, here is the prototype for the DA; probably the next squad: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0064.jpg The wings on the helmets really get on my nerves, i can tell u. Colors are like the have to be in PH, but i excanged some steel parts for bronze, to make em look more interesting and not to monochrome. Details not finished here, but good enough to sho as preview i guess. I'll add a sword, so that everyone in the squad has one in the end. So - mistakes, opinions, things to mention? Darkson Designs
Looking good so far. I think the detail that runs down the center of the helmet is a raised surface? At least that's the way it looks on the cover of Descent of Angels. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ANjuGLD+L._SS500_.jpg I love what you have so far. Is that a Chaos Warrior as a base for this marine? Could you show a before the paint so I can get a look at what parts you used to make this Marine. Again SWEET. tagsta
the bronze trim on the shoulderpad and the green color blend incredibly well together and break up the monotonous looking black/silver of the color scheme good job! what's up on the workbench next?
