JetfireUK
Hi All, I thought to post my latest figure - a old Night Lord Chosen figure. For this figure I wanted to start using blended highlights more than the standard edging ones to try and convey depth and shadow. The clearest place on this mini is the powerfist and the arm holding the combi-bolter. I've also toned down the lightning effect on this mini as I wanted my blending to show through. Anyway I hope you enjoy and I'd really like some criticism so that I can do even better on my next figure. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270600.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270601.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270602.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270603.jpg
Shortsonfire79
Thats great! You should have posted pics with a before-after affect for the lightning. But I can really see the shading in his face great works. now...wherees his army? =-D
Ompfris
Its good.... well for Chaos <_< maybe the wings (i know there is a lot of them) could do with a little darker shading, mainly the chest wing... lots of skulls tho, looking good
JetfireUK
Thanks for the comments. This figure was a bit of an experiment as my forthcoming Nightlord Terminators had very little highlighting to their armour due to the lightning effects. As for an army I doubt that I'll have one but I've got a the Terminators and five Raptors to paint as Nightlords. Thanks for the heads up on the wings - I had used Devlan Mud in the recesses but I might play with that to see what I can do.
