watchya peeps

so i thought i'd take the time to share with you all the project that has consumed my life for the better part of a year. while not the same scale as the monsterous creations of some truely insane truescalers **coughcoughsynapsecough**, my guys are about 3-4 mm taller than your average marine. see for yourself...

as you can see the legs are cut in 2 places and plasticard spacers are added. the gaps are then covered in green stuff and other wolfy accutrements are added, like so...

it's quite a bit of work involved which is why i only have 21 models after almost a year of work ;)

here's some painted stuff...

i also have 4 unpainted blood claws and 4 more that need finishing details, and some big ideas for other characters and terminators, so watch this space.

Alrite Hairyyahoo, welcome to the B&C!

Your space wolves are realy clean, i especially like the librarian, very intimidating pose, also the dude with the axe flying through the air, think that is a brilliant pose! Cant wait to see some paint on what you havent painted, and some more conversions!

S.O.N.

Hi hairyyahoo!

Those models are really cool! The leaping wolfguard is top class conversion, you need to tell me how you did it, so I can give it a try! If you dont mind that is =] PM me if you have the time.

I like the grey hunters unit, the painting on that beakie plasma dude is really top-notch!

You're project may have taken the better part of the year, but I'm sure you'll agree that it's totally worth it when you get such an awesome result such as yours.

I wish I could paint like that. Im starting my first army, ultrasmurfs, and work like yours gives me inspiration =] Im in total awe.

Really nice work, mate. Keep it up :P

thanks man. i'd love to be able to give a simple discription on how that particular conversion was done but it was such a pain in the butt i've blanked it out from my memory ;) i vaguely recall swearing a lot while trying to stick the 3-4 parts of each arm back togethe,r and then to the axe haft, and then to the torso whilst still keeping the pose! ;) gives me a headache just thinking about it ;)

great stuff there ,one crit would be that some of the greenstuff needs to be smoothed a bit more ,maybe sanded as it shows a little in the painting .some great green work there though and i only point out the comments to help you improve yourself and not as any slight

and that cloak must have taken forever and looks so cool

no worries dude, i never take crit like that personally, especially when it comes from a fellow GS jockey  i didn't have any sandpaper at the time so i made do, and this was pretty much my first ventures into the wonderful world of GS. the next ones will be more polished :o

and yeah, that cloak took the better part of a whole day!

thanks for mentioning me yahoo ;)

as always, superlative work from you - the wolf priest and bike are still great models! hope you return to these guys soon!

your infamy speaks quite loud enough, i think, without anyone having tomention you by name, but to stroke you ego a bit i dropped you name into the first post.

happy now?!? :P

and just to avoid any future misunderstandings...

Alright, so he's not driving around with his bit of trim.

(No? Not even a groan the SECOND time I make this innuendo? What is the world coming to?)
