SDarmy
2 beginner questions for assulting . Ill use the example that I ran into last night. A term Squad Deepstriking into an eldar force. Can one Unit (the Termies) Assult multiple units( a wraithlord AND a guardian unit) if the models stay in unit coherancy? Can Multiple Units ( the Wraithlord and guardian Unit )assult the same unit (Termies) ? On the same line of thinking . could the Termies split there fire between 2 units. I.E. the AC fires on the Wraithlord and the SBs fire on the Guardians? thats asuming they wont assult that turn anyways because of deepstrike. King_Pash
Yes, you can assault different squads if you maintain unit coherency. No, you cannot split your unit fire unless a special rule in the codex says so. Hope that helps. nighthawks
also, yes, 2+ units can assault a single enemy unit. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/148992-assulting-with-against-multiple-units/#findComment-1730376 Share on other sites
Lord Marius
Another thing to note - the unit assaulting must get as many models into the first unit as possible - only when you cannot fit more of your guys into the first enemy can you then engage the second. No, not quite...pg 34 Only the first and closest must attack the first unit. after that you must try to get as many as you can BTB with either unit.
