Captain Pugno
i will soon post up a list of the army i have planned I plann on taking a sorceror on a bike with a biker retinue to delay enemy forces while my troops secure objectives. Originally i had planned to have him with wind of choas as it is a very agressive power. However recently I thought why not keep doombolt, and get a familliar with gift of choas. While this will do very little in terms of overall outcome of a battle, as single spawn units will easily die, but it fits my original idea of delay. do people prefer the aggressive power or the delaying one? Khestra the Unbeheld
I variate between Slaanesh and Tzeentch when it comes to Sorcerers; Slaany Sorc takes Lash (duh) or I pack him with a Familiar and add Warptime to him for serious squad-hunting, while Tzeentchy Sorc runs Bolt of Change and Warptime as standard package for both anti-armor and anti-infantry. This may seem like ultra-aggressive use of expensive psykers, but since I don't run a Sorc without a second HQ (usually a DP), if he dies it's not that crippling overall. I like to make folks have to devote their attentions to more than one dangerous operator. :o Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149107-sorcerors-powers/#findComment-1731680 Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
I suggest staying away from GoC. First of all it is expensive and second the spawn is worth a kill point. minigun762
Sorcerer on a Bike you say? First thing that comes to mind is Wind of Chaos. Coupled with a pair of Flamers from the other Bikers, thats 3 Templates, one of which will hurt anything with no Armor Save. Honestly thats enough to cripple a Marine squad or cut a horde squad in half. Plus you can always follow it up with a charge, bikes may not be super tough HtH units, but T5 does help, especially against S3 units. Drudge Dreadnought
Flamers are great and all, but bikers with plasma guns are really nice because of relentless. Tchort
I suggest staying away from GoC. First of all it is expensive and second the spawn is worth a kill point. You don't have to place a Spawn model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149107-sorcerors-powers/#findComment-1732175 Share on other sites

You don't have to place a Spawn model. I know. But if you don't its just a really expensive power that only has a 50% chance to kill most of what you want to use it on. Warptime is better if you want something for cc, and wind or even doombolt are more useful outside imo. Captain Pugno
thanks guys How is one bike squad going to delay an enemies army??And a sorc on a bike w/ familar a 2 psy pwrs, what's the pts total on that ? I think you are building a points sink that will get sunk very fast i am having 2 4 man bike squads with the sorceror all w/ MoN 9 T6 models - imo will do some delaying they also unleash a greater deamon in addition there is a unit of possessed fo the same purpose I specifically decided I wouldn't put my whole list down to see what people would come up with without it. It was succesfull I was thinking Nurgles Rot or Wind of Chaos Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149107-sorcerors-powers/#findComment-1732902 Share on other sites
