ZsaZsaRasputin
So my original intention was to merely finish a squad :P A lofty challenge I hear you cry! It cannae be done cap'n! The warp engines cannae handle the pressure! Etc etc But it CAN! And it WILL! ... Umm... Eventually :P Cos I sidetracked... Again... ;) DOH! I found an old trophy base lying around, and noticed that a 5 man squad would fit quite snugly - so I set about incorporating the scout squad into it... Anyway - opinions please (On the base for now thanks as the squad are old about half way through) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l257/DanBoldy/Base1-1.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l257/DanBoldy/Base2-1.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l257/DanBoldy/Base3-1.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l257/DanBoldy/Base4.jpg And a shot with actual squad http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l257/DanBoldy/Base5.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149224-scout-squad-with-scenic-base/ Share on other sites
taLLis
I really like that base!, think you've and a great amount of detail but without overdoing it. Only one comment i would make is i am not too sure on the left hand scout base sticking out, the other look as if they have been stuck to the base, which is the desired effect (especially being scouts and all that ;)) but with the left guy it looks a little odd, do u know what i mean? Really good work thought mate - tal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149224-scout-squad-with-scenic-base/#findComment-1733092 Share on other sites
JetfireUK
Firstly well done for finishing a squad. I know how hard it is not to get side-tracked! *Must finish my Chaos Terminators* As for the base - it looks very nice and I can see that you spend some time and attention on the layout and details such as the fallen tree stumps and leaves. I see what taLLis means about the left hand side of the base - it looks like the height of the 'mud' isn't as high as the other side. Any chance of a shot of the Scouts by themselves? Favoured of the Emperor
It does strike me as a bit odd, although you could interptret it as the "ledge". Looks very good. ZsaZsaRasputin
Yeah - I was going for the "edge" of the base there - as the "ground" of the base isn't totally flat, but I see what y'all mean. Maybe I might build it up a bit more... I'll get some shots of the squad as I finish each one ;) Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149224-scout-squad-with-scenic-base/#findComment-1733367 Share on other sites
