This is my plague marine sample. I think i have him finished now and will proceed with the rest of the squad.

Only thing not sure about is the eyes. at the moment i haven't done a thing to them but they look ok.

was thinking about doing the glowing eyes that i saw on a tutorial here. What do you think?

C&C welcome

Wow, I like it

Know why? Its not as green and purple as games-workshop's version, and it looks more decayed from the original scheme as opposed to something completely different.

Can't wait to see the rest.

Oh, since you asked about the bolter... Take a few 'slashes' of Citadel orange (its DRY when you drybrush it....) and scratch a few marks of it, then wash the orange parts with flesh wash. You'll have a deeper weathered look. :D

Thanks for the tip, i will try it tonight.

I think for each member of a squad i will always keep the same pallette but change the quantity and step of painting so that they are all slightly different as to represent different stages of the decay. If that makes sense?!

I don't know how to say it, but I think that if you keep the painting and highlighting/basecoat the same on every miniature but use varying colors or amounts of WASH, then it would look okay, but that is personal preferance.

If it all looks the same, the whole army will look spectacular! If you want to do variations or devations from what you posted, I'd mass produce the whole army just like what you showed us before making different levels of decay. Does that make sense? I might be trying to explain myself too much, but you know what you have in mind so I say do it!
