Legacy40k
Although I've never see your work before, your reputation precedes you are Starks has mentioned your name on many on occasion. The marines look great, I'm curious as to what methods you use for weathering/chipping the armour. jakovazor
Thanks for the comms guys :( For the weathering of the armour, I use torned pieces of foam (that can be found in blisters) instead of a brush. This technique offer a spread and irregular rendering which is exactly what we are searching for simulating impacts. jakovazor
@ Rhaja : for the plasma, I use Vallejo Paints. The base colour is Emerald 838, highlight w/ Blue Green 974 then White. @ The_Chaplain : The Chaplain head is a MkVI helmet with sculpted skull. Here is a picture of the mini without paint : http://www.deadfishpainting.com/photos/ImpRemp/Chapi_fin.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149340-imperial-rempart-blog-update-083109-page-2/#findComment-1735371 Share on other sites

jakovazor
Like I said, in my first post, I will try to finish a predator today. Next step, the following of the Tac Squad with heavy Bolter and after that I will certainly launch an 5-man Assault Squad (or perhaps Vangard) and a Vindicator. Maratheus
These are very nice. For the battledamage, do you simply use black or dark brown? jakovazor
@ Maratheus : For the battle damages, I use a mix of black and dark brown to obtain a... very dark brown  @ Wiplash : The shoulder pads are all sculpted : http://www.deadfishpainting.com/photos/ImpRemp/1st_Tac_Demi_Squad_WIP.jpg On the other hand, I will not use FW upgrade for Vangards, I'd rather sculpt the amour's ornament myself.
