Personaly I would love to see the Wolves VS the Magnus and crew. I think that part releay needs to be shown. I hope that Abnett does it though because he is good at making a book emotional. And the fall of one of the Emps most loyal sons would be one of his best if he does take a crak at it. What else would people like to see?

That is already in the works with Dan Abnett doing on side of events leading up to Prospero and the battle and Graham Mcneill doing the other point of view.

Personally i would like to see Dorn featured, from the Imperial Fist Legion battles, them returning to Terra to fortify to Palace up until the end of the Siege of Terra and hopefully to the disappearence of Dorn, (I don't personally think he is dead), i think it would be awesome but it has to be written by Dan Abnett. ;)

Next is Mechanicum, which is funnily enough about the Admech. After is short stories, then Fallen Angels/DA again(different Author though). And then Prospero. I hope to, well, anyone really, that Fallen Angels focus' on what was going on with Luther before the Heresy, so that we actually see what happens to turn a sizeable chunk against their brothers(whatever about a whole legion turning except for a few die-hards this was a legion split in two). Can't wait to see if Zahariel is actually cypher, or at least if it's hinted at in the book.
I'd like to see the Iron Warriors and their turning. If I remember correctly they turn after committing mass genocide and destruction on their homeworld. I think there is a lot of writing potential to show the angry, bitter, mob mentality that results in millions of deaths and then their realization of what they've done. I think a decent author could do a lot with that particular piece of the Heresy, but then I suppose the same could be said for any piece of the Heresy.

I'd personally love to see an in depth character study (akin to Horus Rising and Fulgrim) of Lorgar's founding by the Emperor and his fall to chaos. I'd also like to see the Word Bearers characterised as more than the two dimensional comic book super villains they were made out to be in "Battle for the Abyss." In my mind, they have always been dark warrior evangelists, believing utterly and completely that they are walking the True Path to righteousness. I'd like to see more of this emphasised than them being simply "Ooooh, we're sooooooo evil, oh yes we are."

Can't wait for the Battle for Prospero. I only hope that BOTH sides of that particular battle are done justice. I'd be very, very unhappy if the Thousand Sons were simply painted as misguided, wilful and capricious, or the Space Wolves as mindless savages.

I'd also like to see an in depth study of the Death Guard becoming lost in the Warp en route to Terra, and of the circumstances involving Mortarion's eventual turning to Nurgle.

Agreed, I'd love to see another Death Guard book, but I doubt it will happen, not for a while at least, they had their turn. I think I'd most like to see a book on the battle at Calth, I may not be a huge fan of the ultras, but it was an excellent part of the heresy and it could be a really good book if written well.

I'd like to read about final moments of Caliban, and the battle between the Lion and Luther.

Also looking fowrd to the upcoming Prospero novels, should be good

I wonder if they will write about the World Eaters, its an action novle waiting to be written, added to that their pre heresy colour scheme rules lol

The days immediately preceding the Siege of Terra, so you get a chance to actually meet come of the characters we haven't met, like The Khan, Malcador, Constantin Valdor etc. Maybe the actions in and around the other planets, how Horus gains control of the system and stuff like that. Finish the book just as Horus launches his assault, and make the next book the Siege action itself. With all the opportunities available to explore some of the other people in the Heresy, see the loyalist preparations etc, its just not worth doing the Siege as a single book.

I would have preferred if they'd done some preliminary books instead of jumping straight to ZOMG HORUS TURNS! The finding of the Primarchs and their initial battles would have been nice, stick a couple in each book. Keep the Lost Legions in the dark though. That's how they are best.

I want to see the battle where Sanguinius gets his legs broken by Kar Bhanda (sic) so that we have a good prelude to him whupping that daemon's ass at the gates. I want to see Lorgar's rejection and fall. I want to see each Legion in action with their place in the spotlight. I want to see Angron's story, and Curze's too.

Let's see here. We've had the Dark Angels, the Ultramarines, the Sons of Horus, the Death Guard, the Emperor's Children, Salamanders (briefly), Iron Hands, the Alpha Legion, World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Blood Angels (briefly), and Imperial Fists. We have met Rogal Dorn, Ferrus Manus, Magnus the Red, Horus, Mortarion, Angron, Lion el Jonson, Fulgrim, Alpharius (both of them), and Sanguinnius (briefly). Coming soon, we'll get to meet Leman Russ.

In light of all of this, I'd like to see the story of the White Scars fleet just before they were recalled to Terra. The conflict of wanting to go and help Russ while being ordered to return to Terra could be very compelling. Plus, in this story, we'd get to meet the Khan and get to spend some more time with Russ and Dorn. I think it would be great.

I agree. White Scars have been virtually absent from the series as of yet. There was mention that Horus assumed the Khan would join him, and i'd actually like to see that explored. Plus, the mongolian inspired theme of White Scars to me seems more worthy of exploration than read "perfection" over and over in Fulgrim until it's meaningless, or watching kid-knight Zahariel waste 2/3 of a book with the exact same chaos cliche as Legion. Hidden cult, demonic powers, gotcha.

Scars were the only force to actually break out of the palace grounds. They had to take the fight to the traitor legions while the Blood Angels managed to white hat their way into a bigger place in the story line.

And though i think World Eaters are entirely over done in all of 40k, i'd be interested in a book exploring Angorn's long held resentment of The Emperor for kidnapping him from his homeworld.

Hmmm - most of the Word Bearers interesting bits have been done or are long in that past now, the seires is moving along chronologically so Propero should be good!

I'm hoping to Get alittle of all of the legions in the remaining books - plus hopefully some new stories we haven't heard anything about! The futures of some of the 'minor' players such as Horus Aximand would be good - I think he has more to give....

But the journey from Istvaan to Earth should be interesting - Horus becomming more at odds with his past and letting loose his allies to make them snd their legions more like their final characters. I'd like to know about the fallout from Istvaan - how the legions reacted and got the information back - the first Loyalists to find the massacre site etc

Oops - bit too much of a wishlist!

I wonder if we'll get a lot of our wishes in the Tales of Heresy, with some short story coverage of past events, like Word Bearers, World Eaters etc. and some of the sideshow stuff like Death Guard and Nurgle.

I note that there is a Salamanders book by Nick Kyme on the BL site - does anyone know if this is Heresy? I ask as the Fallen Angels one isn't detailed as such until you look at the cover art, but Kyme's book doesn't have a cover yet.

For the future of the series, I want some of the politics in the Council of Terra, who and why are they persuading Malcador and the Emperor to take the running of the imperium away from the Primarchs - as well as lots more action!

Now that would be a cool book.

It's not exactly a heresy book, but i would be eally interested in a book detailing what happened with the Sons of Horus after the seige of Terra. Dealing with the shame of their defeat and the lose of their identity, the theft of the Warmaster's body and how all the other legions turned against them.

It's my belief that Abaddon kills little Horus in an effort to cut ties with the SoH's past, since Little Horus looks just like The Warmaster, and his whole thing is regret and meloncoly

personally im lookin forward 2the next instalment in the dark angels saga!

ive checked black library and knw tht the fallen angels novel is due next year, but im wonderi how u knw a novel about prospero is coming?

i still dont knw a great deal about white scars in the heresy accept they were present in the siege of terra so they would be interesting.

a few subtle hints on the 2unknown legions should b let out as wel 2give us more topics 2discuss, but i have read somewhere that GW have said these primarchs will remain hidden! shame!

also i think that the ultramarines should be brought into another novel. every novel we had previous 2battle for the abyss had primarchs in it yet we never met the noble Guilliman? would like to meet him in a future novel, and see his interaction with the other primarchs.

for the emperor!

It's pure speculation of course, but I imagine that it's entirely possible that Chaos has something to do with this. Perhaps one or more members of the Council are -knowingly or otherwise- under some form of Chaotic influence, initiating policies that will inevitably raise the ire of the Primarchs and cause friction between them and the Emperor.
