Billy Butcher
I'm rather a fan of Cassius under 5th, I think he's a bit of a steal points wise compared to his 'base' cousin Chaplain. Anywho, I wanted one for my smaller value army lists for my WIP IF 5th Battle Company. Had a bit of a modelling frenzy today and came up with the following, based upon a Doghouse Gothic Pattern Marine. Needs to be cleaned up a little once it's all set - usually I'd leave it in bits while I paint it but I couldn't help myself, and his pose permits easy access B) Sorry about the small pic size, used my phone and forgot to adjust the resolution Oh yeah, here's a size comparison picture against a WIP 5th Co Sgt. Rob_Loken
Looks nice man. Good use of bitz and a lot bulkier than the actual Cassius (no bad thing in my eyes) and I like the yellow. Can I ask how you got that colour? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149555-imperial-fists-counts-as-cassius/#findComment-1737170 Share on other sites
Billy Butcher
I wanted a mini with the 'look at me, I am huge and bad ass' factor. Cassius does not give me that, the shame is you can't make out teh huge fist on his shoulder pad, that looks cool in reality. As for the yellow I do this: Yellow for the idle :D Although I think this is more a trick of the light (one very powerful light designed for SAD sufferers), they still look good in daylight though. Pig Of Sparta
That is one sweet mini I love the fist shaped crozius. i'm still trying to decide wheter to use a 'counts as' special character in my marine force or not Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149555-imperial-fists-counts-as-cassius/#findComment-1737272 Share on other sites
Billy Butcher
Cassius is 25 points more than a regular Chappy, and you get T6, FNP, and a bolter that wounds on a 2+ You'd be mad not to :P The fist worked well - the DA sprue to quite a beating on this one ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149555-imperial-fists-counts-as-cassius/#findComment-1737277 Share on other sites

In general I don't, he's meant for low PV Games 1K and less, I'll just attach him to a squad as needs be. Vanguard and a Razorback is tempting though :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149555-imperial-fists-counts-as-cassius/#findComment-1737350 Share on other sites

-Morkar-
Like it. I think it should look cooler if you make the fist on the soulder pad with GS. Otherwise, great job. He can hardly do an Al Pacino with 'Say hello to my little friend' :) More like Brian Blessed in Flash smacking people on the head ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/149555-imperial-fists-counts-as-cassius/#findComment-1738739 Share on other sites
