A SW rule viewpoint

This DA doesn't wear a dress or a robe. I hang out here because you've got better beer. I swear, next time Brother Mathias goes anywhere near the brewery, I'm going to shoot him myself, and save the beer from his tampering.

 

Wolves are the army I never got around to making. I love the fluff, love how characterful the army is, but I was always working on another army at the time.

 

Anyway, I think the biggest issue most of the DAs had (one that I share) is that our upgrade cost for the CML was written for Heavy 1. CMLs are worth a lot more than we pay for them if they're heavy 2. If someone wants to hand me a number of points to beat his army with, I'll do it, after I warn him that it might be unbalanced. It's only sporting to give him a new excuse to whine with, isn't it?

I'd let you take the CML with heavy 2...and when my 120ish pt unit of scouts comes on and plasmas the crap out of them before charging in with 6 power weaps, I dont want to hear any whining...unless you bring cheese with that, cuz then we can have ourselves a meal at least...

Considering all the complaints about stuff in other areas of your army being overpriced I think its the least that can be done really. Yes I know min-max this and that blah blah blah. I say give the DA all the cool new stuff, BT and BA too! And just follow the rule that if there isnt a problem, there wont be a problem.

Great stuff, I would push the issue about our Rhinos and Razorbacks, but it sounds like you've got enough of an advantage with getting your basic rules you should be getting anyways... :D

 

the reason behind the rhino and razorbacks still being the points listed in the C:SW is because of just that, it IS listed in our 'dex. i guess this all got resolved because a Blood Claw came in and was asking the same questions, so he called GW and they said OUR 'dex over castes the C:SM, with a flow of:

 

HBRB>C:SW>C:SM in this way, so i guess that also clears up some of the weapons "issues" (plasma, assault cannon,etc.).

Well I got the same response from GW about using our codex for them, but our dex says use the transport options in C:SM... so whatever. :lol: GW is at it again...

Reference sheets arent rules.... theyre summaries. The rules say Heavy 4 Rending.... the ref says Heavy 3

Makes no difference, problem is these are common sence problems with common sence answers, the problem is most 40K players dont actually uise any common sence, its got to the stage now where it only applies if they get an advantage from it
