That last post is obsolete. My friend ArcticWolf01 came over, and hes the one I'm joint chaptering with, and he had some bright ideas about how to do the back section. (He was actually over when I posted last time..)

I said that I should just cut right in between the two exhaust nozzles in the back. Works pretty well, EXCEPT! That its a bit TOO wide...so it doesn't exactly fit, even with the 'trim' taken off.

I'll figure that out later.

Theres a picture that DogmaRaider made. Which is what I'm following.

If there were only 5 exhaust vents, then it would be way too small. The front door is supposed to have five 'teeth' (look in this picture), so then the entire tank will be wider, which means everything else too. 5 exhausts is too small, and 6 is a TAD too big (1-2 mm)

I'm going to start shaving down the sides..again.

Yeah. I was going to, but I need the front hatch fitted first (I haven't done that part yet) so I'll know EXACTLY what size it'll be, not just putting one hatch on top of the other, so I'll know the general size.

Thanks for the idea. It'll help. (its not the "theres too much" in the middle, its the fact that the cut isn't straight.)

I watched 101 Dalmatians while I did this. Just finished the movie, and this part. Now Rent. =-D (just thought I'd let you know)

Also. I failed. SO HARD!!!

I worked on the front two hatches. The bottom one first. I cut it, where the 5 teeth would be, and glued it together. It looks good.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_1731.jpg

I then worked on the top hatch, and I spent at least five minutes trying to figure out how come the teeth didn't match up. I had to look at my Terminus Ultra...then I figured it out. There's grooves where the teeth go, which are offset from where the top teeth are.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_1732.jpg

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_1733.jpg

So I did the top hatch right, while also cutting off both Aquilas.

Then I had to break the bottom hatch in half, and shave it down to fit. THAT WAS A LOT OF WORK. It doesn't look half as good, because now the bottom hatch teeth don't look right, as they're spaced differently.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j276/shortsonfire79/IMG_1735.jpg

Its all good right? NO!

I dry fitted the two hatches on the front, they look good. Then I put the bottom plate on... IT DOESN'T FIT!! There's a lip, that adds about 2-3mm on both sides. So the bottom plate is too small. I need to make a new one, or add an extension.

OH BALL!!!!

I just thought about it. That means my engine section is too small too! FUDSFJPSIOUDHFPIUSHDFPIUSHDFIUHSDFCK

ARRRGGGGG to all, and DogmaRaider. (which I'm pretty sure he already knows) DO THE FRONT, TOP HATCH FIRST!! THEN WORK ON THE BACK

Looking awesome ShortsonFire79! I wouldn't get too discouraged! Everything can be fixed with green stuff but then again I hate using it too. Right now your in the middle of the hardest part of this whole project; creating that central core where the doors and engine meet.

Your right on track though! Build the engine first then the floor then front doors. The key here IMHO is that the engine look will give you the width you'll have to create along the whole length, front to back, of the LRE. Those distances are fixed. Once you have those established then you mess with those doors on the front.

Seeing the issues that you're having, I'm going to push my schedule up and build the center core section this week to try and give you a hand. But you're doing great so far; keep up the good work!

@Lion in the Stars: I just had to shave down part of the bottom to flush it up.

@Sons of Horus, It is going to be large..I'm not sure if its as large as DogmaRaider intended it to be...but it is going to be.

Dogma (I'll AIM you this tomorrow) I think that the front door should be done first, since that's what most people will see. They won't see the engine section unless they turn it around. And also, its harder to line up the front detail (which is smooth) than the back (which is partially obscured) ...And its too late for me now anyways, since I've done both. =-D..wrong.

I thank you for your attempt at helping, but I'm sure that you won't do the same mistakes I did...

I advise doing the front, top hatch first. Then the bottom hatch. Then the floor. Then the engine. It'll help align everything. (trust me)

Well I redid the bottom piece, and I think it looks good. =-D (shoddy on top I know) I plan on sealing the hatches shut, so you won't see it anyways. It fits well..Just a TAD more shaving down.

And then the back..which I had shaved down the side detailing so it would fit..is now too small! SALKFHJPOSIDHFPSIOUDHFPSDFSDSDFHSSDYGFOUSYDGFJKSDHFGUSYDGFOHSJFAUITYOQWEIYRASUHDFGDSOFYUGUISDGFSJDLG

It's starting to look real good ^^

But I think it is a shame that you will not do any interior. with so much space to fill, you could really build something cool in there. Like a bike garage or something, or techmarine and servitors working on stuff.

With such a monstrosity at hand, you simply HAVE to build some interior and make the top come of to allow viewing

just my opinion ^^

@Alpha PTP: I'm chugging right along... ...slowly..

@Cathar the Great: It is a shame that I'm not doing the interior, but it will look much better this way, because if I did do the inside, it would probably be sloppy.

I think that a Chaplain or something standing at the front, leading hymns of hate or something...(couldn't think of the right terminology) Would be interesting

You know Snozz..I was thinking that, but it didn't sound right in context when I was typing, so I looked in the codex...and I know they say something about it in the Drop Pod section...and they said hymn..which I knew wasn't right..but it was better than nothing..

Thanks Fated Fith.

Working on smoothing out the seams...

The engine one looks good.

The front hatch needs to fully dry before I can start sanding.
