Marshal Nikademus

I have hinted at this and I have told people as much in the past, but the Black Templars have finally reared their head in Immortal Enemies. I introduce to you Marshal Nikademus of the XIIIth Crusade Company. I sense an incoming lecture about fluff, but I probably, maybe, might deserve it. Its hard to say. It changes a lot faster than I can deal with in my position. In any case... terminator honors and all. Enjoy!

Im loving it!

The revulsion and disdain in his face is priceless. I also like the look of the shoulder pad facing away from the viewer. Might need to employ an embossed panel like that in my own modelling :)

Good stuff mate. Thanks for sharing ;)

it is very good artwork, but he does not seem a templar to me, more so a imperial fist. the clenched fist insignia upon his breastplate re-inforces this.

I think he looks a little too ostentatious to be a Fist. The Black Templars are more the crazy uncle Larry of the Progeny, pius to a fault.

are those...... abs i spy popping through several inches of terminator armor????

I've always been a fan of sculpted chestplates. Actually, Chapter-Master Haemon also had the same thing going on. Its all part of my obsession with Roman designs.

He really does not scream Black Templar to me.

Apart from that, hot stuff man ^^

To each his own. I accept comments like this, as I tend to like to have my own spin on things. Sometimes it seems like if everyone says 'thats awesome' that GW should take a lesson from me, and clearly that is not necessarily the case...

...but they should, if only because I would find it awesome.

I dunno, the mini-shield, the Templar device all give him that flavor, and the robes, of course. Maybe because we can't see insignia on the shoulder pads? A Templar recognizing his roots, i'd say. An excellent piece of work! :)

Sadly, I don't think that is going to redeem him, at least if I stick with the concept illustration:

Yes, he has tattooed his face with a winged maltese cross and has Honor and Faith across his cheeks. In my defense, his chapter symbol is a little more visable from the other side on the shoulder guard, but not as prominent as it often is on other models. I imagine someone might find these illustrations interesting just to see what I go off of for references.

...clearly not much. :)

Im loving it!

hmmm, i see what people meant about looking like an imperial fist but, christ almighty that looks cool. Love the chest, and i must admit i do like the sculpted abs, cant have enough on high ranking marines... might have to 'borrow' parts of this pic for a crimson fist captain if that is ok with you SeerBrun...

Have at it. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Granted, I am by no means the first person, but if you get the chance, drop in a good word for Immortal Enemies while talking about how awesome your conversions are ;) .
