neonbasschild
Hey everyone after about 9 years of being away from 40k, I decided to start work on a black templars army. Well I use to pride myself on my painting so here is my first black templar. Just looking for some feed back, what can I improve on kinda thing. Obvisously the base is not painted and no flocking yet. I dont have any flocking, mini rocks, or elmers on me right now and I just got done. Also I cheated and used a transfer for the cross. The only major change I made to the color scheme is the red tabard (I am using it as a theme for my crusade). I also just revised that I didn't paint the skull on the back the pack, so Ill be fixing that. http://www.warsound.com/minipics/PA310025.jpg http://www.warsound.com/minipics/PA310023.jpg http://www.warsound.com/minipics/PA310024.jpg
Valhallan
Looks good but the tabard looks like the red could be taken more time on. Its just to bright to start with so the highlights dont really show. It looks like one solid color. asides from that it's nice.

If you actually see it you can see the highlights and the dark reds better, it just didn't come though in the picture very well (this is my first time trying to take pics of minis) and its not my camera (not to mention the lighting is not the best). But as I look at it I will have to spend more time so that the shading and highlights are more pronounced. Thanks for the feedback!
