Voitagi
Hi! I am sorry if this question was answered before, but the search function didnt quite answer my question: So a player in my local group plays nids. He claims that his carnifex counts as in cover if there is a normal gant or even just a small part of the gants base in front of him. I think: 50% rule > cover from other units rule => no cover save if my shooting model can see more than 50% of the MC So, who is right? Is there a faq or sonething like that (in case that i am right ;) ) because he wont belive me if there is nothing official from GW. thanks and greetings Voi Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150947-cover-for-mc/ Share on other sites
WarpSpawn
For more detailed info on the 50% rule, see page 62 as the MC rules tell us they are treated like vehicles in this respect. At least 50% of the facing of the vehicle that is being targeted (i.e. its front, side or rear) needs to be hidden by intervening terrain or models from the point of view of the firer for the vehicle to claim to be in cover. Just substitute "vehicle" for "monstrous creature" in this passage and you have your answer.
