Master Chaplain Astador
Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted anything here, or anywhere even. But recently I started working on a new model project after cleaning out a lot of my stuff and not touching it for a while. Anyway, the idea behind this project is a Herald of Khorne on Juggernaut who can be used as a Chaos Lord, Skulltaker, or a Herald of Khorne. It took some heavy converting but I got the pose I wanted for the Juggernaut. It'll take me a couple of weeks to buy the supplies to build the rider, but for now, you can deal with watching me paint him! I just primed him. I'll probably end up adding some things to him and his base as I go. BTW, the base is going to be a lava flow. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/Golden_Palace/New%20projects/new%20stuff/Khorne/Khorne002.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/Golden_Palace/New%20projects/new%20stuff/Khorne/Khorne001.jpg The rider is going to be much like Magmatrax but not as heavily converted. C&C welcome! ++EDIT++ Size comparison to a FW Pilot. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/Golden_Palace/New%20projects/new%20stuff/Khorne/Khorne003.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/ Share on other sites

Master Chaplain Astador
Thanks! :) I should get some painting done today, but after today I'm not sure how much will get done until next weekend. :( Should have more later! Master Chaplain Astador
Thanks guys, Mr. Nipples, you can not believe how much it means to hear that from you! I'm a big fan of your work! :) The pose was achieved by slightly bending the back two feet and reposing the stretched out rear leg. I used a pin to get the leg to stay in place while I resculpted the area. I started painting him as well. I'm basecoating the head, so pictures before I leave for work. Shortsonfire79
This is awesome. I kinda want to get one, and shave off the chaosy icons and stuff, and use it for a loyalist. I need to find the fluff on it first. But it looks awesome. And your conversion makes it super dynamic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1755748 Share on other sites
Master Chaplain Astador
Well the rider concept is based on Magmatrax. I am thinking about having him standing with his axe raised in the air either as if he is about to attack or is leading the charge. It depends on what parts I can get for him without buying multiple $30 kits. <_< I got some work done on the head, it's coming along nicely so hopefully these pics will do it some justice. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/Golden_Palace/New%20projects/new%20stuff/Khorne/Khorne005.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/Golden_Palace/New%20projects/new%20stuff/Khorne/Khorne006.jpg C&C welcome! And for those loyalist fans out there. Here is some inspiration for you. http://www.coolminiornot.com/121013 (Not mine.) Captain Malachi
I like the red, nice and dark, make sure you include a lot of brass though, if it isn't brass it isn't a juggernought. Master Chaplain Astador
Haha I don't play much so I can spend time painting this guy <_< lol If I were painting him fast to play, I'd quickly paint him. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1755781 Share on other sites
Shadow Nugz
Can't wait to see this. Some of the greatest Khorne conversions use the Juggernaut model. Is it just supposed to be rearing up or is it going to be hitting something? Shortsonfire79
I have a question...Is the this Khorne Lorde on Juggernaught model? I don't really know what I'm looking for in the online site =-D edit Nevermind, I found the model Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1756145 Share on other sites

Is it just supposed to be rearing up or is it going to be hitting something? It's rearing up. If I find an extra dread, I may add it to the base though. Shorts: The loyalist one I linked for you, was made from the old model. But this one is the new Daemon one. :P Just got off work, no painting tonight, more work on the head tomorrow afternoon probably! Captain Malachi
I've just had a thought, how is the rider going to be positioned? Sat where he normally is and hanging on for dear life? Or sat further forward so he can see over the beasts head? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1756659 Share on other sites
L0NEW0LF
great start to a very interesting project you can be sure i'll be keeping a close eye on this one just assembling my own lord on a jugger at the min. going for a more high end gaming standard than full on nmm display stuff like yourself very intersting pose and i can't wait to see what you have planned for the rider Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1756672 Share on other sites
Alys Dwr
I too am wondering how the rider will be positioned. I can imagine a rather dynamic pose with him leaning forward and bearing his weapon down. I hope i'll be saying "Magmatrax eat your heart out!" Wolf89
Really cool stuff, that red is just really nice I love that color that you got. So is there any pictures of the lord yet? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1756884 Share on other sites
Shortsonfire79
I think itd be cool to have the rider standing on the beast's back, ready to stab someone. Like..in PoTC 2, when Jack is about to get eaten. Kinda like that. Except maybe aiming down. Master Chaplain Astador
Wow, a lot of great comments in a short period of time! I'll do some work on the head tonight. Lonewolf, thanks mate, I really love your WE, and hopefully I influenced your Lord somewhat! B) Darth: I know it is a bit hypocritical but since I sold my Daemon Hunter army I don't think it counts! :P Alys: I am not as good a painter as Vincent but I'll try my best! Haha As for the Lord and his pose, I'm thinking he'll be standing holding the reins with one hand and his axe in the other hand. But again, we'll see when I get to him! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/150974-the-warforge/#findComment-1757292 Share on other sites
Master Chaplain Astador
Alright guys, I did some more thinking on the rider. And i just wanted to let everyone know I have a great idea for his pose, but you'll have to wait till this weekend to see. I'll actually try to post a sketch this week. I'm sure I'm going to be busy with work, but it will all pay off as I'll have more money to spend on projects like this! :tu: Had a good day at my new position. Well just thought I'd give you guys watching a what's up with this project. I'm doing a little work on the horn right now, then sleep!
