I started WH about six weeks ago. These are my first completed models. I am hoping for good tabletop quality. And yes that is a ghoul from a new VC army I just started.....this game is worse than heroin as far as addictions go!

Very nice. Better than I paint, and I've been in the hobby since I was 11.

Your inability to provide your current age leads me to believe that your not much older now.

But to OP, nice stuff. i've been painting since i started at the age of 12 (I am almost 18) and it's better than mine. You obviously have art skills in other media. Good Jorb.

We will be watching.

considering your very new to the hobby they are extremely good.

One thing i would say is that the highlight on the black is maybe just a tad too stark, i personally would either apply a darker colour highlight for the majority and then on the extreme corners add the current highlight colour, wither that or maybe apply a thin black wash to tone it down slightly. Blacks a hard colour to paint anyway, highlight it too much and it looks gey too little and you can't tell its been done.

oh and a quick tip for the lenses/gems, paint them blood red, highlight the top left corner with scab red and the bottom right with flaming orange, apply a small dot of white in the top left and then give it a coat of gloss varnish. Just makes them stand out a bit more.

Great stuff though, just thought i put my two cents in dude

keep up the good work though, and hopefully you contiue to improve ;)

Thanks for the replies all. I will definately try the lense technique. I have no prior art experience except I used to build models as a kid. (I'm 39 now) I used the pics on the forums here to pick up ideas. I have also discovered that I enjoy painting almost as much playing......almost

As far as the vehicles go they look very good, some nice clean highlights.

The marines/scouts, one tip I would give is give the flesh a wash of maybe Ogryn flesh wash or Gryphonne Sepia.

It'll do all the work for you and its a quick fix instantly. :D
