Yes Flak is him getting his ass shaved every 3 months. His attack's usually consist of getting hair on every square inch of everything i own. As well as getting his lightning claws cut, you can see the damage he has inflicted on the pool table cover. The wife says get him declawed, i just think its inhumane.

Dont think of it as inhumane, think of it as "conversion."

All jokes aside it is a great looking force, one to be proud of.

Conversion eh? He been a good dude overall, the pool table cover is about the only thing he has destroyed with his lightning claws. Now had he damaged the felt?? I would have lost all animal rights sympathy and converted his ass on site.

Thanks for all of the feedback, hell of alot easier staying motivated if you know people are digging your work. Thanks everyone for looking!!

He is still WIP, decided to go with a brown instead of a white, i thought the white would clash to much with the rest of the force.

Tac squad done, except for basing.

C and C Welcome as always

sir.... bravo...

im inspired....you have given me multipul ideas...

cani just add, that i to am not a big fan of painting with the guns on, but i actualy (usualy) tend to not even put on the arms, unless there positioned out from the body...

did you have any problems painting under the right arms? or is that all the way around? and how do you go about making sure that the gun will go in properly?

ps, not sure how, but you gave me an idea on a good shield converson that i will atempt when i get the chance....

I dont paint the miniature with the guns on either. I usually just have have the torso legs and head assembled. Then go back and test fit each one for a gun. Then glue the arms, paint them, then put the gun in last and paint it. The apothacary is a metal model, so i didnt have a choice on him, arm was part of the model.
Friggin awesome boss. I'm starting up my crimson fists now too although mine are a really dark blue basecoat with an ultramarines highlight. the darker aspect made it more interesting to me. but your conversions are something i hope to aspire to (haven't done many, like two and they suck lol) and you helped me realize i'm not overhighlighting my stuff. i got that guff from a chaos player. and the Ven. Dread is amazing.
The way I see it is like this. For gaming your miniatures are usually viewed from a distance. That being said having the extreme highlight, really makes them appear more striking from a distance. Now viewed up close and under a microscope you could say the ice blue extreme may be over board. I like it however, makes them look like tron rejects hehe, its just a matter of opinion.

I really like your apothecary, the weathered bone colouring is much nicer than the normal white used. I may have to plagiarise that shamelessly when I come to doing mine. ;)

The highlighting looks really good too, especially on the rhino. keep up the good work!

That warhound titan must come in handy.. If your loosing a game, just chuck it at the other players head.

Also, it's best not to think of it as inhumane; cats will lay on your lap and get pet for hours then just decide to dig their claws into your leg for the hell of it.
