These are an awsome army, I'm slowly building my arm of CF up and I'm currently working on my 2nd tac, Terms, Captain and Dread.

Quick question. Did you make the GrnStuff mould your self for the tac sholder pads or press it from a pre-moulded tac pad?

Thanks

Ted

I bought the pre-molded pads. However I have made a mold to make them once i run out. It is pretty simple to do once you get the hang of it. I also bought one of the Icon packs from FW that I have made molds for all of those peices as well. Basically i just use an old base fill it with GS and make the impressions in that, then cast from it after it has set.

These guys are 4 of my next tactical squad.

I still need to finish the arms and backpacks. Tried NMM for the first time on the chest eagles. I am pleased with how they look even if its not quite gold. C&C encouraged!

Thanks for looking!!

Lol. The middle guy looks like, "? What happened to my bolter?!"

Nice work. The highlights are a bit harsh for my taste, but they are even and consistent so I'll give you credit for technique. The NMM also looks pretty good --especially for a first-time attempt. You might try to go for a more defined light-source, but it's still nice. Well done! Too bad they will be obscured by the bolters.

So I am working on the second half of tactical squad 2.

I am looking for any ideas on how I can differentiate the squads. I thought about adding some numbering or maybe a kneepad insignia or somthing. I dont want all my guys to just look the same.

Any ideas would be greatly apprecitated.

Codex markings usually have the squad number imposed over the squad designation badge, so the second tactical squad for example would have a number "2" over their tactical "arrow" marking. Company markings are usually identified by shoulder pad trim color. Then again, I'm not sure how rigid the CRF are with their adherance to the Codex, so feel free to use whatever method you come up with.

Hey guys.

After another long Hiatus, I think im going to get back to working on these guys Once again. Thanks mostly to the golden bolter. I think I will use the competition as a way to get more of this army completed.

Single Model- Pedro?

Squad- Sternguard or Terminators?

Vehicle- Dreadnaught?
