nid rules?

work rather well,,,

robots = fexes

warriors = skitari

gaunts = rather dodgy servitors:P

ect

 

thats pretty much what i was thinking.

 

for gaunts i was thinking more conscripts. shooty gaunts get either 'shotguns' or las/auto guns. and the close combat gaunts are conscripts with pointy sticks.

I've given serious thought to using the Eldar rules. Ordinary humand are toughness three, so are they. The various save of 4+ and 3+ are fair for mechanicus carapace and power suits. Wraith Guard are Imperial Robots. Serpents are up armoured Chimera with enhanced side armour and anti-grav units. Guardian cataputs are roughly the same as modern shotguns. Avengers get bolters with up gunned metal storm frag rounds. Warlock abilities can be rationalised with archeo tech gadgets (Coceal represents a 'visual disruption field generator'). The Autarch fills the role of Magos, the +1 to reserves representing his superior comand and comunications gear. Eldar jet bikes adopt the guise of the old Imperial MKI Bollok jet cycles.

 

The whole thing kinda works out.
