Ironfather0
i have always been intersted in playing a count as adeptus mechanicus army but have a question. Does anyone know where i can find what units they use military wise? Such as a list of units or what kind of tanks they have. i would appreciate the help thanks. Divergent Reality
if the ig or space marines have it, the admech has it too. they tend to be the ones that make it all so they get the pick of the litter. i really like the tempus fugitives admech list. its pretty neat. Ironfather0
ah cool thanks that really helps. I think i may use them as count as guard with grey knight or sister allies maybe. Divergent Reality
no need to run them as 'counts as' guard. you could run nids as a counts as admech army. just roll with the admech proper and much will be well. Ironfather0
i know, but the way i'm going using guard rules may be better. would nid rules really work well for ad mech? Ironfather0
ah cool i see what your getting at. I think i'm still gonna use guard with sister allies rules or something like that though. Divergent Reality
nid rules?work rather well,,, robots = fexes warriors = skitari gaunts = rather dodgy servitors:P ect thats pretty much what i was thinking. for gaunts i was thinking more conscripts. shooty gaunts get either 'shotguns' or las/auto guns. and the close combat gaunts are conscripts with pointy sticks. Eddie Orlock
I've given serious thought to using the Eldar rules. Ordinary humand are toughness three, so are they. The various save of 4+ and 3+ are fair for mechanicus carapace and power suits. Wraith Guard are Imperial Robots. Serpents are up armoured Chimera with enhanced side armour and anti-grav units. Guardian cataputs are roughly the same as modern shotguns. Avengers get bolters with up gunned metal storm frag rounds. Warlock abilities can be rationalised with archeo tech gadgets (Coceal represents a 'visual disruption field generator'). The Autarch fills the role of Magos, the +1 to reserves representing his superior comand and comunications gear. Eldar jet bikes adopt the guise of the old Imperial MKI Bollok jet cycles. The whole thing kinda works out. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151032-army-question/#findComment-1759424 Share on other sites
werewolf_nr
The whole thing kinda works out. An understatement from the logic you gave above. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151032-army-question/#findComment-1762633 Share on other sites
bad buddha
i am going to run my ad mech army with a nurgle themed csm list, high toughness and feel no pain seems quite fitting!
