Brother Mordeus
Hey peeps, this is my first thread on this forum. Only managed to put them on today though :? The first model here is the Chapter Master of The Brazen Skulls, Ecthelius. I entered him in a painting competiton at my local GW in France. Competition was quit tough though he got selected in the top three :( though he did not get first place. The idea came to me when i was thinking about how cool a space marine would look on a beast like that. I am really happy with the end result! http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh224/Shas_ODa/IMG_4020.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh224/Shas_ODa/IMG_4021.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh224/Shas_ODa/IMG_4022.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh224/Shas_ODa/IMG_4023.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh224/Shas_ODa/IMG_4019.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151193-space-marine-chapter-master-on-hippogryph/ Share on other sites

cathar the great
Nive idea and execution of it. I once did a Marine on a Bretonnian horse, fortunately, the marine biker legs, aided by a little green stuff, fit on a arge number of fantasy-beasts Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151193-space-marine-chapter-master-on-hippogryph/#findComment-1759434 Share on other sites
Donkey Kong
Man, that poor bugger's gonna have quite a back ache. I wonder what kind of super morphine they have in the 41st millenium. It's an interesting mini. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151193-space-marine-chapter-master-on-hippogryph/#findComment-1759505 Share on other sites

khairney
its well painted, but i dont like it. the poor bugger of a beast would be killed is a space marine were to try ride it about. Midas
No the beast lives on a planet with immense gravitational pull and thus can not only carry but quite easily fly with that space marine on his back. khairney
a planet with immense gravitational pull wouldnt effect the bone density of the animals there. so its back would still get slaughtered by a power armoured ass. and the gravitational pull is relative to the amount of weight the animal can carry. because there is a gravitational pull, it doesnt mean that the animal is going to be a muscle ridden hard ass, it just means its going to evolve to carry its own weight, and the weight of its prey... and i severly doubt that it preys on something the same weight as a space marine. or it would be some morbidly overweight bugger.
