lunchb0x
Thoughts? Mind you I am going for speed and easyness of painting them... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/lunchb0x/100_3492.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/lunchb0x/100_3494.jpg This one is a bit washed out, but shows a bit more of the details...the bit of red on the sgt is from foam...not red paint!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/lunchb0x/100_3493.jpg Sadly the camera is very basic and you cant really see the detail and highlights in the gold...trust me it looks alot better in person! I dont even play crimson fists, just wanted to paint them up, once the other 3 are done I dunno if I am going to scrap em or try selling them...dunno if they are good enough for Ebay or not...but anyways... Any input would be great!
Valhallan
Looks fine. Very clean and solid. Good job. You chose the right colors for it too. It looks very simple but its very effective.
Atilak
Looks very good to me.. If you are aiming for speed also. How much time you spend on one mini painted like that? Keep it up.. Good work
FastEd
I'm normally not a fan of the Crimson Fists' colors as I think the blue and red used normally clash in a not so awesome way, but I think you picked just the right hues. Great looking termies man.
OwenCrute
Looks like you need some inks on the metals, but it could be the pics. Very nice tabletop quality.
Iacton
The blue is really nice for a speed paint as is the flesh, but the metals are lacking somewhat, especially on the bolter magazines. I wouldn't have guessed that they were yours though...
titan136
Personlly, I like them. My only gripe is that the gold areas should really be done in boltgun/mithril (as far as all the crimson fist pics i've seen) Definitely eBay worthy though, they should bring in a good $80 or so. Vissah
I think that if you put a layer of Badad Black wash over the gold it will look less shiny. But that is just me I dont want my models to be all shiny they are dark and camo colours ofcourse but I think it will look better.
lunchb0x
Thanks for the comments guy...as far as washes...I honestly dont know much about them...for as long as i have been painting...ive never really done much with them...next time around ill do some more with them. I do believe you have me mixed up with the other lunchbox , I chose my name before even knowing that there was another Lunchb0x...much better painter then myself!! Though we both are from texas!!LOL Figure wise, taking into account trimming, priming, basing , you know all that fun stuff, about 2 hours a mini. lunchb0x
LOLOL your not the first and most likely not that last!! His style is awesome, and id call it very realistic style...mines...stuck in 2nd edition LOLOL Ive grown tired of putting like 5 hours into a basic trooper, from now on...its all fast paint jobs, unless its a character then its massive detail work. :D
The Defiler
Nice stuff. Simple and effective. Just one thing though.. nothing important, but it looks strange: The optic lenses on the helmet are painted the wrong way.. (but they are really well painted, congratulations for not having shaking hands !!). The white dot should be on the back of the lense, and the highlighted part (red-> orange or yellow) should be on the front.. ;) The Def ;)
lunchb0x
agreed the white should be on the back...I just thought it looked cooler the other way.
