Zeruel
I've wanted to do a Night Lords army since seeing pictures of them back in the 3rd edition rule book. I love the story and the look but I'm having a hard time coming up with a play style and lists that seem to suit them. What I want to know is how do you other Night Lords players play your armies? First and foremost I want to say I have no intention of using the Marine codex I want to stick to the Chaos one, inadequacies or not. I'd also like to feature raptors rather extensively because I like the models and Night Lords obviously use quite a few but I suspect most Night Lords players use a fair amount of them anyways. So yeah that's really all there is to it. I'm really just looking for inspiration and a kind of starting point to go with. Brother Nihm
There are many topics on how players field Night Lords armies, search around in this forum and in the army list forum and you'll find them. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151247-help-with-night-lords/#findComment-1759193 Share on other sites
Imperialis_Dominatus
True, in fact a lot of topics about Night Lords have posts containing how people find it's best to represent Night Lords with the Chaos List. Though some simply complain and moan about how 'there's no way the 4.0 Chaos Dex could represent my army EVAR! *cut cut cut*' I think a distinct lack of Chaotic marks and high use of fast, Undivided units could represent Night Lords well, with a sufficiently intimidating and aggressive playstyle. That is, for a Puritan, Zso Sahaal style army. Chaotic Night Lords probably would have Chaos Glory all around, maybe a cult unit or two. Pardon if my post seems rambling, I've enjoyed some Jaeger tonight and it's difficult to type coherently. Hellios
I imagine the stereo-type Night Lords army to be much like a Dark Eldar army. Except its weakness isn't fragile units but lack of numbers. northoceanbeach
I think this forum has the worst search function in the history of forums. I use the marines codex with either shrike or korsarro and alot of bikes, drop pods and raptors. northoceanbeach
well that may be, but I just went to advanced help and then following their recommendations typed in Night+Lords and most of what came up was just junk. Brother Nihm
You have to be more specific and follow the recommendations, i.e. could be to search only in the Chaos Ascendant forum. Like I said, experiment with it. :) Case in point, link Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151247-help-with-night-lords/#findComment-1764558 Share on other sites
