First terminator

Recently I have started with a Dark Angel successor chapter, The Sarafan Order.

 

Below are some pictures of the very first 40K model I have ever painted. After years of painting fantasy models it is a nice change.

 

I am rather pleased with the result so far. It still needs some touching up, but all in all I like it.

It's very good for a first model. I like the dark base colour (I paint Night Lords) and the highlights are nice and bright. All I would suggest is either thin the brightest highlight down a little or blend the successive highlights for a finer finish - but this figure is perfect for tabletop. Add some basing materials and this guy is ready to go.

I'd suggest you give the mini a coat of Asurmen blue over the armour to tone it down, the highlights are extremely bright
