Iron-Daemon Forge
I would never say never to plastic thasound son models as the Legion codex is due in the next few years. So might see them with the release of the codex. As for easy ways, well a few thing you can do - Current Chaos Space Marine boxies come with a Thasound Son parts/Tzeentch head, etc... - Back before the metal/plastic combo. I seen a lot people useing Khorne Bezerker heads like Keith Robertson from Eavy Metal & fill the middle part of the bunny ear with green stuff. Then green stuff loin cloths. Just Bezerker heads with Chaos/Bezerker legs & Bodies. If you check the White Dwarf when codex 3.5 of Chaos Space Marines was out, show you some of Keith R models. Shame I never got photo of my friend Thasound Son force (this was way way back 2002/2001) as his was really cool & was in show that Games Workshop Stirling, Glasgow & Edinbrugh. minigun762
try nudge Wappellious for a tutorial, he did a pretty fine job HERE ;) he did promise a tutorial :D Those are some phenomanal looking Rubrics and Sorcerer. Saddens me I'll never be that skilled. :) Insane Psychopath: I saw that Tzeentchian helmet and it got me thinking, would people accept Rubric Marines with a different helmet? Honestly thats the biggest change over normal marines. I was thinking of using Black Templar or Dark Angel bodies for the robes/tabards and just using the fancy helmet for the head. I lose the distinct "fan" looking head piece, but they should still be sufficiently obvious as Rubric Marines Thoughts? chillin
I don't like the "Egyptian" style headpiece of the T'sons (not saying others shouldn't, it just not for me). Also b/c my "T'sons" are supposed to be BL Tz worshipers and not exmembers of the T'sons legion, they should not have that helmit style. But there should be some way to distinguish then on the battle field. Right now they just all have the horsetail crest on their helmits, but that's not really enough. I was thinking maybe replace helmits with skulls (from WHFB skeletons) to show that there were skeletons inside the armor...just a thought, I'm not thrilled with it, but that's what I've come up w/ so far. Cornelias
just a suggestion but you could use the helmet from the termie lord box ( sorc one that looks kinda tzeenchie), maybe even cut the spikes off. edit this one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151511-plastic-rubrics/#findComment-1763997 Share on other sites
Evil Homer
you can get a pretty decent result using the BT tabard with the T-Son shoulder pads and heads. The biggest problem with the current T-Sons models is the half-plastic chest piece. Real PITA to work with as it does not fit for anything against a backpiece. The heads and pads aren't really a problem to work with. Its pretty easy to GS the the striped shoulder pad and I would think the new plastic tzeentch pads would be a nice replacement for the metal tzeentch pad. That just leaves the thrid pad and I think a GS press mold would cover that base. Rahveel
I like the egyptian theme for 1ksons that are actually of that leigon, but for others, I think it is perfectly acceptible to go for something a little different. I used reg CSM's, BT and DA bits, as well as some WFB warrior bits. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v136/Rah...;current=ts.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151511-plastic-rubrics/#findComment-1765109 Share on other sites
minigun762
Some nice ideas all. Rahveel, the cloak look works I think. Its a nice touch. Sounds like you could convert some nice little Rubrics for yourself, something that would be slightly different than standard but still noticeably Tzeentchian.
