FaeLi-N
I need to get these finished and finally painted... so I present to you some of my (almost) wholly converted (and just 5 miniatures until they're all constructed) Red Scorpions army of 3k points... My commander (so far) Phaerin Eyse (Vulkan He'Stan): http://www.envisage-design.co.uk/phaeton4.gif My assault flamer (Drop Podding, not Jet Packing): http://www.envisage-design.co.uk/1.gif My heavy flamer Dreadnought: http://www.envisage-design.co.uk/2.gif My favourite Vanguard Veterans: http://www.envisage-design.co.uk/3.gifhttp://www.envisage-design.co.uk/4.gifhttp://www.envisage-design.co.uk/5.gif And finally, what I SORT of envisage the scheme looking like. I'll be adding a lot of subtle battle-damage, and also the leg armour will be white instead of red. I really like the gothic, dark red, but the white will be less bright on the final models: http://www.envisage-design.co.uk/last.gif Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151518-red-scorpions-blog-pics-cc-plz/ Share on other sites
Marek Grimfang
Nice. I like the deep red and white mix. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151518-red-scorpions-blog-pics-cc-plz/#findComment-1762835 Share on other sites
StormDragon
You've got some really nice conversions in there :). I love the sense of movement you've got going on with your commander. I like the red in your colour scheme. I'm not so sure about the white, I'd like to see a model with the toned down white I think it looks too bright at the moment. chaplainmikey
I really like the deep red colour for the armour, gives them a nice grim look to fit in with the 40k fluff whilst the white provides some contrast and brightness. The Vulkan He'stan conversion looks good, the gs work is nice and the cloak fits really well. The vanguard vets are top class, you've really achived some sweet poses! Good luck and hope we will be seeing more soon! alexious
I like what you've done so far. Don't want to be a downer, but the Red Scorpions color scheme is a dark green with the scorpion being red, just as an fyi. Shiodome
i like them, i guess you're the same as me and hate the positioning of the combat shield attatched to the bolt pistol rather than to the wrist? looks so wrong to me >_< will it still fit ok once the shoulder pad has been added? FaeLi-N
I like what you've done so far. Don't want to be a downer, but the Red Scorpions color scheme is a dark green with the scorpion being red, just as an fyi. @alexious: actually, the standard scheme is a grey and yellow, however there is a second 'pattern' from what was known as the Angstrom incident which is red, black and white... @Shidome: indeed, do hate that positioning, but this seems to have worked out OK, and I don't think there are too many models where I haven't repositioned something or other! And yeah, a shoulder pad just slips over the top onto the should, so it's all good :) Thanks for the C&C everyone, I'll get more piccies up soon :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151518-red-scorpions-blog-pics-cc-plz/#findComment-1763404 Share on other sites
