dark_inquisitor
so, here's the figure I painted for the first time in 4 years. He was suppose to be an Inquisitor... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/deja_vu_08/inq.jpg he's currently dead (see Manifestation of Love in the Warp) the second figure who's also an inquisitor... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/deja_vu_08/bob.jpg his name's Bob. I got this figure 'cause I liked the pose and I used her for an heirophant...her name's Jane... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/deja_vu_08/jane.jpg I had also ordered a squad of GK termies and here's the first one I painted... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/deja_vu_08/termi1.jpg more recently however, it's improved dramatically... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o94/deja_vu_08/termie.jpgthere's more and I'll elaborate later, but now I'm pressed for time. More pics in a couple hours and more explanation... c&c please!!!! be as hard and thorough as you can. I've been painting for a while, but no one has actyually given me any useful c&c... FastEd
I'll start off saying I have no idea how to fix it, but I think the silver on the GK termies could pop a bit more visually. It would provide a nice contrast between it and the red. Also, Jane looks a little chibi. :)
hidje
Ah, I really like those guys ;) and nice conversion on the grey-knight lance. There do is something amiss with Jane, but that might as well be the model in stead of your painting :P
dark_inquisitor
sadly, due to the 5th warp daemon, Heirophant e is longer among the Emperor's living... in fact only Bob and the termies are... more pics later today. and as to the slver problem, I put more of a black wash over the grey, then highlighted with silver. I think it fixed it. Latey, though, my painting style has leaned toward more of the second pic of the termie. I pictured the GK as a very dark army, and the whole silver thing just wasn't working.
